I DIDN'T CRY!

An accomplishment, I must say... Went for my last gathering for the year, which is Fangi's birthday gathering at her house... I brought fried chicken, which WASN'T fried by me, i'm not that good at cooking.... was pretty alright at first until Wei Yi started tearing when we talked about college... Managed to take control of my tear ducts, or else the jelly on my plate would be salty instead of sweet... After a huge lunch and much laughter (and one broken chair) we adjourned to the living room where we dissected the love lives of some very unfortunate friends, namely Lyn, Fangi, Celine and Melissa.... Was quite a gathering actually, so many of us just eating and laughing away... Not forgetting the ever present photo session...

Oh, we got our Christmas presents today, a little late i know... I have one thing to say: I LOVE CELINE AND FANGI EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE LIARS WHO ACCUSED ME OF SUPPORTING THE CHEENA MUSIC INDUSTRY BECAUSE THEY GOT ME SOMETHING ON MY LIST!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously love them, though not in the lesbian sort of way... Still can't believe they (along with Nick) got me Kenji's latest album! Haven't listened to it, coz my radio's all packed already... Will have to wait till the day i move in, so Lyn and Dee better be mentally prepared... other great presents received also include :
1. "The Purpose Driven Life" from Jayne, which will fill up my time with useful insights of life... Though i cannot help but wonder what is she hinting by giving me that book...

2. A handphone pouch from Wei Yi which is...pink. Will most probably use it not to put my handphone but my MP3 player...

3. A watch from Tasha, which is also...pink. She bought everyone (except Stef) the same watch, but in different colours, so everyone can be sychronised... Yay!

Am leaving for KL in approximately 9 hours, Mom and Kit are not coming up with me coz Kit's regristration for Form 1 is on the 2nd... Mom has given talk on the do's and don'ts when in college, even though she knows i know... Probably just obligated to give the talk... Everyone else is behaving like normal, cept Kit who says "Bye" to me every hour as well as to everyone in the family... Supposedly he's preparing for the day HE leaves... Right...

Finally my stuff is all packed, after days of packing... Am appalled by the number of bags, looks like i'll have to enlist the help of ALL my cousins to move them up five floors of stairs... God, i'm going to miss everyone here, especially my family and close pals, althpugh some will be joining me in Taylor's next year... Sniff sniff

Looks like this will be my last post in JB for quite a while since i'm not coming back for Chinese New Year... I promise to blog regularly though even when in college, so don't worry my loyal fans!! haha...

P.S. Would like to say SORRY to Celine for whacking her so hard when i unwrapped the present... I hope it doesn't hurt anymore... Sorry babe...

This song was in my head the whole evening... Quite appropriate, cept the jet plane part, i'm not that lucky...

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breaking, it's early morn
The taxi's waiting, he's blowing his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

Cause I'm leaving on a jetplane
I don't know when I'll be back agaon
Oh, babe, I hate to go

it's just 2 more days till i go up to KL, just about packed everything except my laptop (which my brothers are reluctant to say goodbye to) and my radio (i'm still listening to it) which will only be packed the day i leave... Have got 6 (small) bags full of things, which Dad was suprised at... I'm a bit suprised i have that much stuff too, i started out only wanting to bring 2 bags up but kept adding more things... At this rate i'll be bringing my bed up! Must stop putting stuff in already...

Went out today (again) with Cel and Xuan Hao who bought us iced chocolate from Starbucks... Was walking around before that and we met Lingesh or Cel's papa, who was going for lunch with a certain someone... ended up at Starbicks for like 2 hours talking about next year and keeping a look-out while Cel did, uh, something there (can't say here lest people use as proof) to remember something... Was also people watching when there, like the apek who was just sleeping away on the chair while his companion had a doughnut which seemed to have been sprinkled with magic powder since it was huge... Remembered what my brother said about the tables being useful for playing chess, with the squares and all so told the 3 of them... Went out and guess what? 2 guys were playing chess there, but not using the above-mentioned tables...
Funny... After that went to Body Shop to kacau the many Convent girls working there and to irritate Lingesh, since he went for lunch with someone working there... Had to leave after that, so got ride from Xuan Hao... Was suprised my mom let me, since she had that rule about me not getting a ride from someone who has not been driving for more than a year except Se Von... Am still alive and kicking and in one piece anyway...

Not gonna post much, have got not much to say... Dad's back, by the way... So people calling me please do not be alarmed upon hearing a male voice okay?

Tell me her name
I want to know
The way she looks
And where you go
I need to see her face
I need to understand
Why you and I came to an end

Tell me again
I want to hear
Who broke my faith in all these years
Who lays with you at night
When I'm here all alone
Remembering when I was your own

I'll let you go
I'll let you fly
Why do I keep on asking why
I'll let you go
Now that I've found
A way to keep somehow
More than a broken vow

this post is just for me to complain about my suay-ness... Emphasis for the suay-ness topic is one of my top favourite singers: Kenji Wu Ke Qun

many might not know him, and i am not going to explain lest Celine accuse me of supporting cheena music industry again (if only a had a dollar each time she said that...) so my advice to people who want to know him is: Google him, listen to his songs. Simple as that...

Now, what i really want to complain about is why i always seem to come thisclose to seeing him but never do... So far, it's been 7 times over a period of 9 months (6 times happened this month)...
let me be a little more specific...

let me first explain when i first got to know about this singer. it was when an advertisment appeared on Singaporean telly promoting his new album... the only thing that went through my mind when watching the advertisment was that he never smiled in it and it was quite dark, which made it hard for me to see how he looked. Oh, and i pitied the guy since he had to be slapped many many many times for one of his mv's...

1st miss: He came to Plaza Pelangi to perform for Red Box. Performace started at 7 pm. I was there at Popular around 6 pm. 7 pm and he started singing, and i caught a glimpse : good-looking!! Sounds pretty good too... Was about to make my way there to catch more of his performance when i got dragged away by Dad to have dinner at Hyatt... Was then that i started liking this singer...

2nd miss: happened in Taiwan on my trip there... Channel V was having the V Power Concert and he was one of the performers there... Concert was being shown live on tv at 3 pm but i was out...

3rd miss: repeat of the V Power Concert at 12 am the next day. Could not catch as was too tired to stay awake...

4th miss: repeat of concert again at 3 pm the same day as the 3rd miss but was out coz Dad brought us to bookstores... Came back around 7 and concert was still on except his performance had already ended...

5th miss: Came back from Taiwan on the 21st and found out through my 8 Days magazine that he performed at some charity show on Channel 8 on Sunday

6th miss: Heard from Fangi that he was in JB two days before i got back. Obviously could not catch him unless i could split in two and one came back early...

7th miss: he's making an appearance on some Taiwanese show which is airing on Channel U next Saturday. which is the 31st of December. which is the day i move up to KL. where i cannot receive Singaporean channels. 100+ channels on Astro but no Singaporean channel.

Could it get any worse?

Thankfully, there will be a repeat of that charity show tomorrow at 3 pm. Am going to watch it at Lyn's housewarming, i dun care. If i dun get to see him, i WILL scream. I dun care that there's going to be 100+ guests at her place, I WILL SCREAM.

Everyone pray i see him.
Bloody Merry Christmas to me!

Sorry in advance to anyone who has that Christmas spirit in them and got that spirit trashed/kicked/burned/washed down the toilet/sent out into outer space and never coming back until 365 days later after reading this post of mine...

To be totally honest, I am not in the mood to celebrate this holiday... Maybe it's the sad songs i've been listening to this few days, maybe it's the weather (30 degrees Celsius minimum is NOT how i want to spend Christmas), or maybe it's the thought that after Christmas i will be 6 days away from moving out of my house, 8 days from moving into the apartment and 10 days away from starting college... of course, i;m not going to do the whole Christmas-is-overrated or behave like that Scrooge guy (i can't spell his name, sue me!) in the popular story (the title has left me), i'm just going to sleep in for the day then have fun at Lyn's housewarming party (wine should help!)

I'm almost done packing my stuff for college, but more things are being added, so at this rate i will be using a truck to bring my things up to KL... despite all the packing my room is still as messy as usual, if not worse... Even with the packing almost done i still can't really believe i'm going to be in college... I'm not going to go as far as to say i can still remember the day i started primary school, because i have no recollection of that day except i was in last class... I have a feeling i'll cry my first night there (reminder to self: get tissue first) and be laughed at by my roommates for being a crybaby (i'm not, by the way, i was 2nd last to cry on my last day at school). Oh well...

Note to everyone who sees this : Just because I'm not in the mood to celebrate DOES NOT mean you people can cross me out on your list this year, i still expect presents! especially since i got all of you something (sorry, didn't get anything for you Dennis! want a sticker?), even gave out the presents already... I expect presents to be handed out to me when i see you people k? Haha, i know i'm weird...

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby
Do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year
It doesn't suprise me

Merry Christmas
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying I love you
I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again

Ahhh, it's good to be back!! After one week in cold cold Taiwan, it certainly feels good to be home again.. though the weather needs some getting used to again... Am not going to talk about my trip to Taiwan, too tired to do so, here's a summary : Cold, dry, lots of mountains, walked a lot, bought loads of things... For more information, you can either talk to me or go figure... Have fun filling in the blanks...

Went out to Singapore today with Celine, Fangi, Lyn and Wei Yi... Had tons of fun, window shopping (no windows involved though), people watching (like that lady we were following and guessing how she looked like), Reliving our second childhood (with help from Tigger), even on the MRT (sorry, i've never been on one, was having fun tapping the card!). In the end, i only bought one orange shirt from Samuel & Kevin, Lyn has the same one but in grey... Must make sure we don't wear it at the same time, or else everyone will mistake us for twins...

Have gotten almost everyone's Christmas presents, even gave some out already, namely Lyn and Celine... Bought most of the presents in Taiwan, since there's isn't much time for me to get them after i get back... Got Fangi a book, Jayne something... uh, hard to explain without saying the actual thing... Bought Celine a Tigger plush toy ( actually she made me buy it) and bought Lyn a cute note holder and stickers... Have tons of stickers by the way, first come first served basis to choose...

When i was chatting with U Xinn just now, he asked me a very funny question... He asked me whether i swear and whether i smoke... So here's the answer, the longer and more detailed version: I swear like a sailor. I swear when i'm mad, when i hurt myself, when i embarrass myself, which is quite often... although what i usually swear is the same few words, placed in different parts of the sentence to give different results... i will not insert these words in here for the sake of anyone who's too innocent and for my sake, since my dad reads my blog (am going to be in trouble...)

As for the smoking part, it's a definite NO... I have to say, the TAK NAK campaigns at the very least worked on me, so did the Singapore advertisments where they cut up some smoker's brain and it had blood clots in them... I hereby promise i will never NEVER ever smoke, feel free to kill me if i do... The closest i will ever get to cigarette is when purchasing chewing gum at 7-11...

U Xinn also advised me not to crumble (okay, he didn't use that word) under peer pressure and try these things... I can only say: I don't swear because i felt pressure from my friends, i think i'm the one influencing them (Lyn can attest to this). As for the smoking part, close friends can serve as witnesses that i cough even upon smelling perfume... Perfume!!! What's the possibility of me smoking?

So there... Now just have to get him to read this.

Just gonna say very little, since i've nothing much to say because i did nothing much today and i've posted like everyday since i finished my exams... Woke up around 9 this morning, was supposed to go to Singapore but plan got cancelled... Instead went out with mom to open a bank account for me, feels weird to have an atm card now... Then went to the Store for a while to shop since parking coupon was for an hour, had lunch there also because was waiting for cobbler to fix shoes and my bag... In the end the guy didn't finish repairing, so we have to go back tomorrow morning, such a waste of time...

Was very hot outside when i came back, plus i was really full from lunch so i was very very sleepy... Wanted to take a nap but had to help mom decide what to bring to Taiwan, she thinks it's absurd that the 4 of us are going there for a week but have packed like we're staying for a month in Antartica... Okay, she didn't exactly say that, but i know that's what she was thinking :)

After helping mom was close to 2 already, decided to go watch my brothers play PlayStation 2 and maybe get them to let me play The Sims but instead fell asleep till 5 pm when brothers started shouting at each other to kill Liu Bei in ROTK game... Guys, what can i say... Anyway, got to play my game for a while before dinner, mom forced them to take their bath...

That just about rounds up what i did today, pretty boring right? I know...

Yay! Am going to Singapore tomorrow!!! Muahahahaha... Oops, just revealed tail, must cover at once...

After 2 days of rest I am back on my feet to enjoy myself, though feet have not completely recovered... Went for Undang talk today, but didn't fall asleep as had very funny instructors... note the word instructors, as had two conducting the talk today... First was this guy named Bakeri, which, as he himself told us, is pronounced bakery in English, which makes him bread... second guy was qiute scary at first, commenting on the discipline and how some of us were wearing our younger sister's shirt... I would very much like to point out that i DO NOT have a younger sister and it's very rare for me to actually find a shirt i don't drown in alright? So there... But he was pretty funny too, kept going on about "nasib" and kept reminding us that he was already married... Right...

Good news was that Celine was with us today!! Missed her A LOT when she was holidaying in Hokkaido... She brought something back for me (Woohoo!!!) as my Christmas present, so I can't have it yet... Derrick or affectionately known as jie fu to some and Daddy to one was there too, so Fangi, Cel and I tried to keep our distance from the lovebirds.... Didn't work by the way...

Came home only around 6 as transportation only arrived at 5 plus and there were 6 others in the van to send home... Fell asleep for a while in the van, but managed to not lean on anyone or embarrass myself, since i was between 2 people i did not know... Phew!

Not going to carry on blabbering, since most of the people reading this either went with me or have gone for it, even passed it (98% oh?) already when i have merely attended the talk... gotta pack my bag for tomorrow anyway... Did i mention i'm going to Singapore? I think i did... haha

New Skin

Have decided to change my blogskin since i've had the purple Japanese-girl-carrying basket-filled-with-something one for quite while... Fell in love woth this one the minute i saw it, it's got tons of stars and it is so so so so cute! okay, i don't think it'a appropriate for someone to comment on their own blog that way, so i'll stop now :)

Didn't do much today, woke up around 9, which is pretty early considering i slept very late last night... Early this morning actually, was watching TV till 1 plus last night with mom who couldn't sleep... Am supposed to pack my stuff for Taiwan trip, a little early i know... Just gonna start packing the clothes i won't be wearing these few days... People not wanting to know what clothes i own can scroll down to the next paragraph... It's gonna be cold cold cold so i'll have to pack my long-sleeved shirts (which i don't have many off, it's bloody insane to wear that in Malaysia, no?) and sweaters, most of which is handed down from my cousin in KL...

Right, enough about that, i don't think anyone wants to know what i'm packing unless they are volunteering to pack mu suitcase for me... Anyone? Haha, Elton John will be straight before anyone would help me...

Nothing much to say, am gonna stop here before i start boring you kind people who actually read my blog... Do tag k?

PS Cut my hair yesterday, about 4 inches got chopped off... Now hair is short and keeps getting into mouth when wind blows... Might highlight hair soon, yay!!

Celebrations

More celebrations today, involving 4 girls who found it boring to stay at home, no guys whatsoever (except Dennis, but only for 5 minutes) and one movie... For those who find And again i went out today, not for window shopping but to watch Narnia which was out today... actually yesterday couldn't be counted as window shopping since i did end up buying a shirt, a pair of shoes, a bag, nail polish, and others... and there were no windows involved at all, since i don't think most of the shops in City Square have windows... just open holes in the wall for you to walk through, but very few windows... Or maybe i didn't notice them, like many other things...

Went out with Lyn, Fangi and Hema to watch the new Narnia movie... pretty good movie, the effects were very realistic... plus peter was pretty good-looking, and aslan as very very cute.... haha, you'll have to watch it to know who they are... or i guess you can read the book, like i did when i was nine, which is why i couldn't remember anything about it... the movie was really worth it, being so interesting and over 2 hours too...

After the movie we walked over to Kotaraya for Hema to do her henna by who else but Jasveen who was taking over for her cousin... Only Hema managed to get hers done, Jas was too busy helping a lady whois getting married tomorrow...

After a day of walking, my feet hurt. Not the usual tired kind, but blisters have currently emerged on the back of my heel as i was breaking in my new shoes... would show you the picture of my new cute little shoes but the picture takes too long to upload... i guess to see it you'll have to ask me out and ask me to wear them... tee hee...

Not going out tomorrow, the first time this week... Am gonna start packing for Taiwan trip as i will be busy (again) after this... Heard it's really cold there (Yay!)... People who want anyhting from there whould tag my board so i'll consider getting something for them... this is just so my tag board won't expire, i won't get them things anyway... Just joking!!!

I'm done! I'm done! I'm soooooooo DONE with the examinations! Woohooo!! now I can relax and enjoy myself!

Finished Accounts Paper 1 at 3.25 on Monday afternoon since I didn't go out of the hall, didn't see the point doing so... Came out and discussed paper with Jayne while walking to car, and saw Yuan Xiang waiting in car (his, not mine) with his mom. Which means SOMEONE came out way early... As to why he was in MY school i don't know, but suspect it has something to do with his dear mei which is hasil tindakbalas asid karboksilik + alkohol...

Went for pot-luck at Tasha's condo today... I swear, it was like a food expo with the variety of food we had... Italian, Chinese, Indian, you name it , we had it... Was so very stuffed after lunch, but still managed to taste Jayne's delicious dip of which the recipe she wouldn't give me, and jelly courtesy of Lyn... We watched "The Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants" in Tasha'a mom's room since the boys were using the TV outside for (what else?) playing PS 2...

Was at Tasha's place from 11 to 6, Tasha's mom became driver and gave 6 of us a ride home... Went home and plonked myself on the sofa since i could no longer move, stomach was too laden with food... Did have dinner though, at around 8... highly suspect there's something wrong with my stomach as it could hold in so much... worm maybe? it's staying though...

An eventful day filled with many activities like Wei Yi singing a cow song, us painting our nails for each other (okay, mostly Tasha and Fangi), laughing and laughing till Lyn fell off the bed which made us laugh somemore and playing mahjong like rich tai tais... Having another gathering tommorrow with the same bunch at CS to shop for nail polish and lots more... Some gonna go do henna on their hands tomorrow too... expected: more fun and more laughter.

I said I was gonna enjoy myself.

Finally, it's almost over!! Well, for me anyway since most of the Fifth Formers HAVE finished their SPM, lucky people... Just ONE more paper to go, Accounts paper 1 which according to my father can be done with one eye closed... Right, let's see his reaction if i do that. (everyone who reads this is automatically invited to my funeral if he kills me)

Although the exams aren't exactly over for me, i've already begun celebrating and will continue to do so till the 2nd of Jan... Mrs E brought Mel, Lyn, Cel, Fangi and moi to CS for a movie (which only Lyn and Mel atched in the end) after the EST paper where we saw half of Convent's Fifth Formers (and a few seniors)... Cel, Fangi and I went home with teacher and helped to decorate her Christmas tree...

Cel is already at Hokkaido, the lucky woman already off for a holiday when I still have a paper to go... Never mind, I'm going to Taiwan for a week where my dad will bring us around, which translates to visiting his apartment which only has 2 sets of utensils and spending the day at a huge bookshop... Envious, anyone? Didn't think so... Haha, not all that bad, at least can spend time with my dad...

P.S. Still haven't watched Harry Potter movie but many have felt compelled to give me their opinion of it... Am going to buy the DVD... one day...

Saturday, November 19, 2005

Number of subjects i'm taking : 11
Number of subjects i've already done : 5
Number of subjects left : 6

Almost halfway there! god, can't believe i'm actually sitting for my SPM already... Doesn't feel any different from other exams other than the fact that the invigilators aren't from our school...

Things to do after SPM:
- buy and watch "Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa"
- watch all 5 seasons of CSI with everyone
- go to Taiwan with family for holiday
- go for Undang test so can learn driving in KL
- watch all movies i've missed including HP 4

At this time some people might have a question in their mind as to why i am not catching the Harry Potter movie now since there's a few days in between where there is no exam. Some will also be pestering me to catch the movie with them as they couldn't find anyone else. so listen up people : I do not want to catch the movie at this point because if i do my mind wil only be filled with the No.1 guy on my list of favourite guys (Daniel Radcliffe)and cursing the No.1 girl on my most hated people list (Katie Leong) when taking the exams or trying to study for them. It's true... So there.

Saturday, October 15, 2005

Mom let me come online again!! haven't done much studying this whole week, except a teeeny weeny bit of Physics... Went or a talk held by INTI College at Sri Utama, the hall was PACKED! they even had to get benches from outside to seat everyone... Nine of us went for lunch at Pizza Hut for break, ended ur 20 minutes late for the Physics talk ( it wasn't my fault the route Pin Li and friends took turned out to be much longer!!). Since the talk ended a little earlier, Fangi, Lyn and I went for Physics tuition about an hour late... hmmm, why is everything about Physics?? never mind...

Just found out something about CSI, my favourite show (LOST is a close second) !! In the second last episode of Season 5 titled "Weeping Willows" -Willows being Catherine's surname- had a guest star named Alan Rosenberg, who played a suspect in a case whom Catherine met at a bar. I remembered the name because it was on the jacket of my DVD cover, which meant the guy had to be pretty well-known. Initially thought he was related to the guy playing Lex Luthor in Smallville, but have just found out that he's Marg Helgenberger's real husband (She's the one playing Catherine) Non CSI fanatics can roll their eyes now. Fangi is amazed at how i remembered the name so clearly, what can i say? I remember everything about CSI, so sue me.
Only like the original one, the other two just aren't as nice (partly because Greg's not in it, haha)

Have finished the LOST series season 1 (couldn't wait so long so my mom bought the DVD), don't like the ending, so cliffhangery... And they killed Boone!! Now there's no good-looking guy to watch, damn... At least they made him die as a hero...

Saturday, September 24, 2005

It has been a long long long time since i last blogged, due to mother's You-Shall-Not-Anything-But-Study-Your-Butt-Off studying scheme... Seem to be losing the touch (although i'm not sure i had it to begin with)

Have survived 2 weeks of Examolympics, where you attempt the break the record of most pages written for an essay (English), finish all your correction tape in one paper (Add Maths), and try to write so much your hand is always in the position of holding a pen (every paper). Only have 4 papers to go, namely Accounts 2, Physics 3, and both EST papers... Will be able to celebrate by Monday, since chances i won't study for EST...

Went to school today, where we Fifth Formers went on a trip to the nearby jail... walked around the place for a good 2 and a half hours, resulting in me practically running on fumes by the time we reached school again... Am not gonna elaborate on what i saw there, i dun wanna to have nightmares tonight... Was very educational though

Saturday, September 17, 2005

not quite sure if i'm getting the colour correct.. seems a lil off.. wait.. okay.. this one? yeah i think this one looks correct. if any of you are wondering, this is NOT xin yu who is blogging.. i am a hacker! haha. noo.. this is fangi helping xin post something in this oh-so-sweet blog of hers.. hehe.. she made a list today in tuition. it is as follows.

10 things to do after spm!
1. stuff yourself with ice-cream / chocolates
2. sleep
3. check your bed for brain matter
4. wonder why you couldn't understand the question on your paper if you're not losing brain matter
5. hang out with friends
6. don't think about school
7. don't think about how badly you did for the papers
8. don't think about what to do in college
9. don't think about the fact that you're leaving school in 2 months
10. Just. Don't. Think.

there you have it. was laughing my head's off when i read her list of 10 things to do after the exams. think i need to go to sleep. both of us have got tuition in the morning.. sigh..

Wednesday, August 24, 2005

okay, it's been such a long time since i last blogged, almost a month and a half alreay... think i've lost touch of this blogging business...

Am now in Tasha's house, which is why i am able to come online and blog... at home my mom has hidden my laptop, locked it, and hidden the keys somewhere else... not to mention she has scrambled my TV, which means the number of shows i can watch a month is : NIL, nada, zilch, absolutely nothing... sigh, what a life i have... situation most likely to persist till the first of December ( 3 guesses why that date )

Sunday, July 03, 2005

Was just going through the messages posted on the bulletin board when i saw one posted about some boy answering no to every question the girl asked him. at the end of the post was a message stating that i had to repost the message or i'l have bad luck in my relationships for the next ten years... reminded me of all the e-mails us girls loved to forward to out friends; those saying how you have to send it to (insert number) people in (insert number) minutes... kind of stupid actually, how we used to (and some still do) think that just by forwarding a sappy love story we will end up with the one we love and if we didn't forard it we would not be happy for the next God-knows-how-many years... If this actually worked, i can seriously give up on love since i never forwarded these messages (since Standard 6, that is) and start saving up since i will become a cranky old spinster who spent the half her life beating herself up for not forwarding the bloody e-mails and doomed to die alone in her flat and only be found three weeks later half-eaten by dogs... As if it were that easy to find true love...

Saturday, June 25, 2005

Yesterday was Open Day in school, was selling the remaining 80th Anniversary T-shirts while waiting for my mom to come get my report card... Was fighting with Yvonne and her friends over our territory, they were getting people to buy their Dunkin Doughnuts... Challenged yvonne to persuade my brother to buy a doughnut, but the doughnuts were sold out before he came and she had to go back to class... In the end only managed to sell about 15 shirts, since most of the students already bought it... mom came pretty late, as she had to wait in line for an hour in EC to get Wei's repeort card... Luckily me got No 5 in class, so she was pretty happy and promised to buy me a MP3 player, if it's within her budget of RM 400 - a bit too little, but it's either take it or leave it...

Thursday was the day I was supposed to go watch Initial-D with Fangi and the rest of the gang, but mom wouldn't let me out on a weekday, supposedly aoing out for two hours would really have an impact on my grades... So didn't get to go catch Edison in the end, was in a pretty bad mood that afternoon thinking about how every single student in my school were catching the 1.10 pm screening of the hottest Asian film this year... mom promised to buy the DVD for me once it comes out, but watching a movie like this at home with your mom isn't exactly how i wanted to catch the movie... at least must have one friend beside you when watching shows starring all these guys which will make you drool ( not that i actually drool when i see a cute guy on TV, i just melt ) so you can swoon over how cool he looks or argue about who looked better, Edison or Jay... Sigh, I'm always the slowest to catch the shows which everyone is raving aboutm and when i FINALLY catch the movie the topic is long over and everyone's on a new movie...

Today had to go for St. John meeting in school, where we Fifth Formers did absoultely nothing... Jayne was teaching the few of us the steps to the dance for English week, Puan Yeoh who came up to ask us to keep quiet also joined in... Was reading this comic of Elsa's, now am hooked on it... Had Physics tuition at 2, where Fangi and i were jabbing the two guys sitting in font of us... Was informed of a scenario which happened in Chemistry tuition the day before where Yuan Xiang hugged Nicholas- dunno what for, all i can say is that they're lucky it wasn't in Puan Cheng's class ( 10 hours of counselling!! ) Haha...

Was very very excited when reached home, coz the first thing i saw was 8 DVD's with the words "C.S.I. : Crime Scene Investigation Season 5" emblazoned on it!!!! Mom who had gone to Holiday Plaza in the afternnon bought it because my family is a known C.S.I. addict- Fangi's either going to be killing me the next time i see her or rushing down to Plaza pelangi to buy it... Am going to watch it once i finish dinner, so I better go eat now!!

School has started for a week plus already, am taking a long time getting used to waking up at unearthly hours (although according to my mom waking up at noon is unearthly). Holidays were WAY too short, lucky Singapore kids having a month's holiday. Teachers are rather unfeeling, burdening us with tonnes of homework and saying "IT'S ALL FOR YOUR OWN GOOD" aka Selena Tan in "I Not Stupid. Leader of UTO has so got to be Mr-mana-iklan-Lim, giving us 200+ pembetulan ejaan questions on our most hectic schoolday and demanding we finish it by the next day. And after I had been slogging at the bloody thing for one night, he doesn't discuss it and proceeds to give us another 200+ !! Ish, am not going to do it until the day before the due date, have got better things to do.

Went for the English College FOA on Saturday, was better than I had expected. the performances were pretty good, except one of the band singers went totally out of tune when singing "Welcome to my Life" and another was jumping around so much his pants-so i heard, since i didn't look in his direction, was focusing on the lovely clock on the wall-were about to fall off, showing his boxers. Then Alven introduced another band with a supposedly sexy name, almost jumped out of my seat when Leroy went on stage. He sang pretty well actually, was singing a song he wrote himself, "Standing Next To You" dedicated to AN-ybody out there. Noone other than the SPEC members and I got it, since i heard it from them. Was talking perhaps a little too much about it, now everyone's thinking i'm like obsessed with him or something. wish someone would write a song for me, especially if it were someone i like, very very sweet thing to do... *starts daydreaming*

Actually went there to see Yiswaree perform "Beautiful". Was really brave of her to sing without music, all Convent girls-which is a lot- kept cheering her on. In the end she got 1st, even beat that Malaysian Idol contestant, Melissa i think her name is.

Has been almost 2 weeks since i last blogged, coz mom won't let me go online, or use the laptop for that matter. Also not allowed to watch TV after 8 o'clock, as part of the "Study for SPM and Get Straight A's" campaign launched on the 14th of June, ending on the 30th of November, when the SPM is over. Get to go online today coz got 5th in class, so they're goona close one eye for these few days as a reward. Immediately went to check my mail, inbox was almost full thanks to junk mail and mail from my Chicken Soup for the Soul subscription. Then went to check my blog, download songs and went searching for Anne's blog so i can get a photo of her brother as to prove i was not hallucinating when in KL that led me to believe there are cute guys in Malaysia after all. Finally found his blog, but was very sad to find he has a steady girlfriend. Sorry to have raised anyone's hopes of there being cute guys in Malaysia, Anne's brother is studying in Singapore. Hipotesis denied...

When on my search for the blog of Anne's brother, read her testimonials written by Leroy and gang, very funny the way they wrote it. Found she had a few things in common as me, like we're both in Convent, although hers is Convent Bukit Nanas... Pineapple Hill Convent, very interesting... also like the same shows, Charmed being the most prominent, but might not count since like everyone single student in my school watches it hoping to see Chris again (episode 7!!!) especially Hema...

Gonna have to stop now, mom is getting irritated...

Yesterday went out for Stef's birthday gathering, went straight to CS after Physics tuition coz we had to go book the movie tickets... Colin followed us there, dunno why he didn't want to go home first, noone told me... So he wentwith us in my mom's car, was so quiet during the ride there, only said "Hi Auntie" and "Bye Auntie" and nothing else... My mom didn't talk to him either, only said "Hi", "seatbelt" and "Bye" to him while Fangi, Tasha and I were making so much noise in the back...

Bought a tank top for Stef there, to go with the skirt which Celine and Fangi bought her... put it in a box and bought some ribbon to decorate, so went to Vivo's to wait for the others while wrapping the present before the birthday gal came... After evrybody was there we started discussing where to go for lunch... wanted to eat at Mc' Donalds coz it's cheap and fast but there wasn't place for us, so we went to Seasons where we joined all the tables so all of us can sit together... bill came up to almost RM 150, Stef wanted to pay but we didn't let her, she is the b'day girl after all... After lunch we split into groups, me followed Kim, Stef they all and walked around before going to the 5th floor to take the RM 13 photo... Me didn't want to take, since i was broke already, spending too much for this month, rest of the month have to "keng mian bao" liao... Watched "A Lot Like Love", quite nice but some parts were very very very unnecessary... There were many songs in there i like, especially the one Oliver (Ashton Kutcher) sings to Emily (Amanda Peet)... Have got the song now, the lyrics is at the ebd of me post (thanks Nick for the song and lyrics)... Was very excited when saw one trailer showing a racetrack coz immediately knew it was the trailer for Initial-D !!!! very sorry to Kysha, who was stuck between Fangi and I, both of us were squealing upon seeing the trailer... What to do, seeing cute guys really help me sleep... but didn't show Edison or Jay, only show the drifting and the water in the cup or watever swirling... Haihz, can't wait till the day i can watch the movie, hope mom will let me go watch coz i'll die of cute-guy-deprivation if there's such a thing... Wei was there too with his friends, watching the same show, so i kept turning behind to check on him...

Didn't have anthing to do after the movie, followed Fangi to go check on Celine who didn't watch the movie... left her there after seeing she was "busy" and went downstairs where i suprised my brother, his face so funny... everyone started to go home, Tasha and i went downstairs to join our brothers and their friends who were having a nice hi-tea at Secret Recipe... started talking about the Scrabble Open, which is about the only ting i can talk to them about... Went home around 6.30 where i watched TV until 11 pm, coz got so many shows to watch... haha, a perfect day...

this morning was rudely awoken by my alarm clock, which my mom accidentally switched on... had to attend english tuition at 9, so didn't get to sleep in... Went to tuition and started talking while waiting for the rest to come, coz Wei Ling tot it was at 9.30 and mel had to rush over from softball practice... nothing much after that, it's been a milkrun ( am i using it correctly? )

Haihz, blur blur me tagged Vanessa's blog 4 times, 3 times was about my blog coz i tot my message didn't get posted and the last one was to apologize for posting so many times... Now anyone who sees her tagboard is going to think i'm some psychopath whose main purpose in life is to tag her blog or i'm some desperate idiot advertising my blog or having Tourette's Syndrome and clicked the publish button way too many times... Sorry Vanessa if u're seeing this, it was an accident...

I guess this time you're really leaving
I heard your suitcase say goodbye
And as my broken heart lies bleeding
You say true love is suicide
You say you've cried a thousand rivers
And now you're swimming for the shore
You left me drowning in my tears
And you won't save me anymore

Now I'm praying to God you'll give me one more chance, girl

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe
I want to be the air for you
I''ll be there for you
I'd live and I’d die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do
I'll be there for you

Just had a short rest after coming back from choir practice in school... Gotta go back to school in less than 2 hours, to warm up and prepare for performance in MAWAR tonight... dunno what occasion we're singing for... was so tired after practice, the stupid organizers were really irritating, first want us to sing a song we don't know, then letting us sing Muhibah Medley... At the raptai just now told us to sing Johor Seiring also, as if we can sing just like that without practicing it first... Haihz, we are humans, not robots, somemore doing it for free and without dinner...

Wanted to blog yesterday, but me brothers were using the laptop... Hmmm, seems like they use it more often than me, without even asking my permission to use it, coz my laptop is faster than the desktop and better to play Warcraft (what is it with guys and these sort of games?) with blah blah blah... must set new password, so they cannot log in... Muahahaha.... Haihz, not that evil lar, just gonna put it somewhere, where they cannot find it ...

So happy, tomorrow can go out and watch movie!! Gonna celebrate Stef's birthday in City Square tomorrow, watching "A Lot Like Love" starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet... seems pretty interesting, but can't really say till i've watched it... Got Physics replacement in the morning though, have to wake up bright and early... Haven't gotten prezzie for Stef, dunno what to buy... Also have to get a gift for Sarah and Colin but have got no idea what to buy at all... Lousy friend i am, don't even know what my friends want...

NO TUITION TODAY!!!!

Am in a very very good mood today as can sleep in till late since got no Physics tuition in the afternoon... Have to replace on Tuesday though... So it'll be double tuition for me on Tuesday, Physics and Accounts... But Fangi says wanna have birthday celebration for Stef on that day too... Haihz, what to do? Split myself in 3 maybe? 1 to go for tuitions, 1 to go for gathering and 1 to stay and home and watch TV so i can replenish my energy while having fun... Good idea?

Have received complains from people who found it very difficult to read my posts as the colour i have chosen were too light, so am going to use only dark but not dull colours for my posts as not to cause any Permenent Eye Damage (PED in short) to anyone... Feel free about commenting on my blog by sending me a e-mail at chowxin_yu@hotmail.com (no creativity, i know) or posting a message on my tagboard (this way, i can improve on my blog AND have people tagging my board!!)

Got my camera back already, all fixed... Was actually ready to be picked up last Sunday - one day too late, since i needed it for the 80th Anniversary Concert- but we were i KL at that time... Then had lunch at Taman Molek, which is where the Canon shop was... Reached home around 1.30, so had barely sat down before had to leave for tuition in Omega... didn't have time to do my Chemistry essays after all, so wanted to do it while in BM tuition but the irritating clerks kept checking on us... One was tapping on the glass pane and asking us to pay attention and copy what teacher wrote on the whiteboard when he wasn't even doing anything!!! I think somebody needs glasses...

Dad wanted to bring us out for bowling in Leisure Mall, but me didn;t feel so good, so stayed at home while the 4 of them went out... Went online without their knowing, since Dad accidentally clicked "save password" when typing in the password for me to go online previously... Then watched TV when they found out i was onlining for very long... watched the last episode of this Hong Kong drama at 10 then some variety show hosted by Jacky Wu coz Kenji was one of the guest stars... haha, seeing a cute guy before going to bed helps me sleep better...

Woke up with a blocked nose this morning, must have caught a cold from City Square yesterday... Apart from that, am feeling pretty okay, since mommy let me skip Accounts tuitiom :) actually I was supposed to go on Tuesday but wasn't back from KL yet, so decided to replace it today, but am not going because (a) am not feeling well, wouldn't want to pass the bug around right? (b) am going to be the only one replacing in an all guy class, i think (c) have no transport coz Lyn isn't going and mommy has to go with my dadda to Holiday Plaza and fetch Xin Kit from tuition... Am now home alone at home (not exactly, since my maid and grandma are downstairs, but one's taking a nap and the other is to stay by her side) so am very very bored as there are no interesting shows on the telly and i still cannot sign into MSN Messenger to chat with me friends...

Yesterday had to attend English tuition in the morning (which teacher herself almost forgot about) before heading to City Square for a movie... Teacher sent us (Tasha, Fangi, Mel, Ai Kim, Wei Ling and me) there since she had to fetch Eva from school anyway... So had to wait in school for about 10 minutes while teacher went to get soething from the office... Decided to book tickets first before going there, so Wei Ling made the call, but noone picked up, got her soooo mad... but in the end we got the tickets for the 12.45 Madagascar show then went downstairs to McDonalds for lunch... But didn't have time to eat there, so we smuggled the food in Melissa's bag to bring into the cinema where we met up with Kysha... The movie was very funny, the penguins were very cute, and also the squirrel-like creature...

After that we went roaming around the place, led by Tasha who didn't have any idea where to go, so anyone who saw us going down and up the escalator must have tot we're very "jakun", never visited City Square before... Met Vanessa and Cornet at the music shop, where Vanessa knocked over some guitars thanks to I-cannot-remember-who, and also Lloyd and Leon who had nothing to do and too much money to waste... (BTW, Lloyd is currently out with my brother and friends watching a movie he watched yesterday, further proving he has too much money)

Out of a sudden Tasha decides we should take a photo thingy, thus making us fork out RM 13 each for something we didn't want in the first place... I, for one, am against the idea of spending so much money on one picture when i can take a lot more pictures using my digital camera for much cheaper, but got forced into it... Look so blur in the picture somemore, such a waste of RM 13... Then saw Nick there, who was to catch a movie with his sister's friends who were yet to arrive... so the 6 of us went for afternoon tea in Secret Recipe (only 3 were having something to eat, the other 3 were just staring) After a while he had to go off to meet up with his siter and friends, then took the shuttle bus to Leisure Mall to watch the movie... A bit weird, if you ask me...

After deciding there was nothing left for us to do in City Square, Fangi and I went to Tasha's place while Mel and Kysha went home... Watch some TV there before going home, where i took a shower, had my dinner and went out for my second movie of the day... Dad brought Kit, Wei and I to watch the final installment of the Star Wars series... Was on way back when i caught someone wearing the 80th Anniversary T-shirt so was like "hey, that's the crew T-shirt for my school..." before noticing it was Tabitha who was wearing the shirt... A bit slow, i know, but i cannot help it... Turns out Evelyn's mom had brought Evelyn and Tabitha to watch Star Wars also and that they were in the same teather as i was. but i didn't know they were there and vice-versa... Went home around 10, then Dad taught us this Japanese number placing puzzle which id very popular now, called Su Doku or something... Tried one of the puzzles and got so addicted I didn't realize what time it was until I looked up at the clock and was like "Wah! 11.30 already!!!" and realized i missed my show (some Hk show, and not Eye for a Guy 2) sigh... Then went to bed dejected as the episode i missed was very interesting, according to the synopsis on 8 days, and also because i remembered, 3 hours too late, that the first episode of Charmed season 7 was airing that day...

I so need a secretary... Anyone up for the job?

HOME SWEET HOME!!!!!!!

Ahhh, feels so good to finally be back home, really missed my two-shades-too-pink and untidy room, dunno why kept thinking about it... Not that i didn't have a good time in KL and Bukit Tinggi, coz this trip was one of the best trips i had... Only stayed at Bukit Tinggi for one day, though... Visited a Japanese Tea House, where you can rent a kimono and take part in an authentic japanese tea ceremony, but didn't do so as would be a waste of money since didn't have camera with me... Also visited botanical garden, although there wasn't much to marvel at except an 8-inch-long milipede that got me screaming... Went bowling and played snooker at Sports Complex, stupid cue ball kept getting stuck and wouldn't come out when it fell in the holes, so the deposit for it (RM 10) was forfeited... twice somemore... Played Daytona with Kit and two cousins, got last as hadn't played it before...

Xin Wei didn't come along as he wanted to join his friends in their celebration upon winning 3rd place for the under-15 category in the Inter-State Scrabble Competition held in Berjaya Times Square during the weekend... Wanted to join but didn't think it'll be too convenient (somehow i don't think me hanging out with 14 guys would be very appropriate) was a bit jealous though, as they went ice-skating and had a lot of fun there, not to mention the cute guy i saw at the Scrabble competition was there (he's one of the organizing committee, his mom was the overall person-in-charge) Sigh, not fated lar...

Tommorrow morning got english tuition, so can't stay up... Not that there's anything worth staying up for, since cannot sign into MSN and got no interesting show on TV... Am going to watch Bridget Jones's Diary 1 and 2 during the week, anyone keen on joining me? Have a lot more movies I have yet to watch, like Divergence, Initial D, Madagascar and many more...

Feel so relaxed now the exams and the concert is over... Concert was a very very big sucess, A LOT of parents were there, as in so many there wasn't even enough places for them to stand... Choir musical was the "grand finale" and we did pretty well, although it was really really scary when on stage... Seriously thought my legs were gonna collapse and i'll have a lovely bruise on my forehead to show everyone as my "souvenir" from the concert...Mummy and Daddy were there to see the performance, Daddy watching me perform for the first time so he was quite impressed :)

Then went to Lavender for a nice lunch, after the concert... Then Wei Wen came to our table to say hi, what a coincidence oh? after that went home, Dad wanted to take a rest before leaving for KL, so only left around 2.30 pm... Reached about 6.30 at my aunt's house, cousin already had friemds over for his gathering, so had tno peace at all... Watch Star Wars with them and they kept making stupid jokes about the movie, so was pretty fun... then cousin cut the cake and i became waitress of the day, serving all the lazy guys who wouldn't budge from their seat... but was pretty interesting gathering, had fun although i was the only gal there... Now they all are finally leaving, so have the computer to myself finally...

Not going to post much, am very tired after all the excitement today...

Saturday, May 28, 2005

Finally the papers are completely over, but still as stressed... until 12 pm tommorrow anyway, after the 80th Anniversary concert is over... Was sooooooo very busy today decorating the hall AND choir practice, where i look like Dutchlady wannabe... But the hall looks great, and everything is more or less settled so all we can wait for is showtime... Won't be able to catch the concert though, as those in the musical are required to stay in the classroom at all times, since it supposedly takes 5 hours to put on our costumes and make-up... A bit irritating acctually, since the point of going tommorrow is to catch the concert which will totally rock, since it's us organizing it, hehe... So, am just going to sit in a classroom with around 30 people i don't talk to with only my handphone as the only thing keeping me sane when all my friends are downstairs having the time of their life and my parents squinting to see the performances... Perfect, it's just how i wanted to celebrate one of the last concerts i'm goona be attending in this school before graduating...

At least the exams are over, so it's one hell of a thing off my mind, until the results come back... last paper was Add Maths, which took 4 and a half hours for 2 papers, which caused nothing but misery, a lot of stress, waste of time and stationery, not forgetting causing a terrible pain in my neck... lucliky the PJ paper was cancelled, spending hours memorizing basketball court measurements isn't exactly how i want to spend my Friday... As if the day wasn't tiring enough... After all the decorating and practsing, went over to Tasha's place for a quick shower, then had to go for Chemistry, and realize i forgot my papers then just ended up staring at teacher very very blankly... Came home exhausted, but still have to pack stuff for trip up to KL to see wei's competition and attend cousin's birthday gathering... By the way, am going up to Bukit Tinggi, wherever that is instead of Cameron Highlands... Tasha's leaving for Hong Kong for some retail therapy after all the exam related stress struck her... Jayne's leaving for Cambodia, for charity work, ad is gonna miss the concert of which she was head organizer, poor thing...

Okie, that's it for today, me gotta go sleep now if i wish to wake up in time tommorrow to go to school before 6 for choir practice without looking like a panda...

Saturday, May 21, 2005

Finally got through this week, now only left Accounts on Tuesday and Add Maths on Thursday before can really really celebrate... But now already very happy, since finished all the subjects which require a lot of memorising, am not going to worry about how tired i am going to be on Monday due to 2 tuitions and choir day camp... Am just going to be in denial and think about what i'm going to do during the holidays, namely going up to KL to see my brother compete in the MATTEL Scrabble Finals in Berjaya Times Square , followed by my cousin's birthday gathering (any suggestions on what to buy?) and then going up to Cameron Highlands... Hmmm, seems like 2 weeks isn't enough... Everyone seems to have loads of plans for this holidays, must give ourselves a break (and a Kit-Kat) after a month of stress...

Went out to celebrate the end of the long and stressful week, and also to collect my free lunch... Went over to tuition a tad early, pretty fortunately it seems, since it started pouring the minute got into class... Was really sleepy in BM, as couldn't get what teacher was saying, so just ended up copying without knowing what i was writing... Couldn't take a nap because (a) Seat was right at the back of the class and right in front of window where the admin clerks love to look into and check on us and (b)Teacher's voice was too loud i couldn't have slept for more than 2 minutes before being jolted awake by voice stated above... Only product from 2 hours of tuition was a Darth Vader drawing on my BM paper by Andrew and an Ewan McGregor a.k.a. Obi-Wan Kenobi on my testpad... Oh, and discussing pictures of celebrities i should get, like Daniel Wu, Edison Chen, Stephen Fung and Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Carribean... and also deciding on what movies to watch during the holidays, Star Wars Episode 3:The Revenge of the Sithbeing among the top few, along with Madagascar, The Interpreter, Initial D (!!!!)and many others...

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you’ll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

No. of papers taken: 14

No. of papers left to take:10

No. of subjects taken: 6 2/3

No. of minutes spent attempting to pull out hair/ tear books in half/ punching pillow/ abusing brothers: uncountable

No. of minutes spent studying: uncountable too but definitely less than those spent on violent activities

No. of times fantasized about how to spend holidays: every bloody minute spent studying

Am supposed to be studying right now, but what the heck, who cares what someone did sometime in the not very distant past? if you still don't get what is it i'm talking about, HISTORY IS AN EVIL SUBJECTas it requires us to keep memorizing facts until we become mindless drones which upon hearing the name of someone in history like Alexander the Great would immediately start on history facts about him and how he comquered many countries like... you get the drift.

The second week of exams was... deadly. Not only was there Physics and Moral, we had to be tortured with 2 biology papers on Friday the 13... only thing fun about the week was when the few of us helped teacher tend the shop and sold the 80th anniversary button badges and T-shirts, which I the blur gal kept refering to as Christmas Concert shirt, causing many juniors to stare at me bewildered wondering what the heck were we thinking, selling christmas shirts in May...

Anyway, was feeling better after the paper since two thirds of one of the toughest paper was over... Went to Plaza Pelangi before tuition on Friday to buy something for Puan Emilda, on account of it being Teacher's Day next Monday... Then headed to tuition to find that the classroom had been renovated, the air-conditioning being the first thing I noticed, since i tought we had gone through some magic door which transported me to Alaska... Was freezing in tuition, fingers could not bend to write at all... didn't help that the guys in front were laughing so hard istening to teacher teaching Sabor... Thank God for Fangi and Lin Hui who got me into a conversation about our favourite scenes in Bridget Jones's Diary (1 & 2) and how cute Edison, Jay Chou, Daniel Wu and Stephen Fung (although Lin Hui doesn't like Daniel Wu... sobz)are, which managed to keep my mind of how fingers were going to die and fall off due to the cold temperature...

Weird how tuitions on Friday seem to be what is keeping me sane...

PS : I found my pencilcase... One calculator lost, though...

Saturday, May 07, 2005

Lesson i've learnt from today : Hold on to pencilcase as if holding on to gold... More below

Hmmmm, now listening to the radio in the study room, named so as contains 65% of books in the house, the computer, proper and adequate lighting and the perfect place to study in peace, provided the air-conditioning is switched on because it can be very very hot in the afternoon... But you didn't need to know that...

Today was second day of exams, had Physics paper 1 and 2, paper 3 is next Wednesday... Paper 1 was pretty okay, but made one very very careless mistake... Paper 2 was very tough, especially Part B and C, not very good in Respons Terbuka coz didn't practise :P

Finish exams at 12.00 then had to hurry and pack things coz Auntie Grace was already waiting for us... wasn't until i was packing my stuff for tuition that i realised i left my pencilcase with all my stationery inside in the new hall... Worse, my 2 calculators were together with it... Fortunately my I.C. was not in there, but in my purse... Very scared someone would have taken it home and i'll lose 100+ bucks worth of things... that's what the first line was about... Was so frustrated in tuition kept digging my nails in Andrew's hand, which was kindly offered to me... Actually it went more like Andrew: [thrusts hand out] Bite Me . Am now stationery-less, had to borrow Fangi's extremely inky black pen to copy notes... Dunno why nowadays so blur, must be all the studying taking over the whole memory slot of brain, yet can remember just about nothing during exams...

Was really tired in tuition due to exams and all, learning about what Tun Beraim Bapa a.k.a I-wear-loads-of-crappy-stuff-on-me-because-I-think-I-look-damn-good-not-to-mention-gay-guy adorns... Was very suprised the horse he supposedly tamed didn't die due to all that weight that was on him, much less gallop and dissappear into thin air... Soul flying to heaven, more like it... Then in Chemistry teacher had to spend almost an hour explaining Nombor Pengoksidaan all over again to a few people who skipped Thursday's class... Almost fell asleep, then got message from Lin Hui complaining about the idiotic pest in front of her... Seems like Sebastian can take over Tasha as person most commonly called by Mr Lim, teacher kept calling his name coz he was playing with his handphone...

Went home with Tasha who came to wreck havoc in my house... haha, just kidding, she was there for dinner then her mom fetched her back when she came to pick Wei for BM tuition... Then finished reading Fangi's magazine which i forgot to return it before going home... Told you i was blur... Didn't study this whole day, too tired already... Hmmmm, just heard today is No Homework Day in the States... How come we on't have it here?! could do with such a day, at least once a month... Heeheee...

Hmmmm, birthday is in less then 25 hours, but not feeling happy at all... SPEC(Scrabble Players of English College) already taking advantage of my birthday, coz can buy shirts from Giordano at 20% discount if buyer's birthday is in May... Today's song is one of my current favourite sung by josh Groban...originally sung by Lara Fabian, but his cover is very very lovely and soothing... Extremely good piece to listen to when relaxing... haha, sound like music critic...

I'll let you go
I'll let you fly
Why do I keep on asking why
I'll let you go
Now that I found
A way to keep somehow
More than a broken vow

Tell me the words I never said
Show me the tears you never shed
Give me the touch
That one you promised to be mine
Or has it vanished for all time

Just gonna tag a little, have to go offline in a few minutes...

This whole week has been passing so fast, with all the teachers away on something, on maternity leave or attending something to do with something somewhere for the past few weeks, then now all are scrambling to complete teaching where the exams were up to... This includes all teachers teaching my class, except History, since she normally teaches at such a speed that none of us would have understood what she said anyway... Oh, and BM, since none of us would have listened to what teacher was talking about... So, all the teachers who have yet to complete their lessons are going at such a speed that Superman would find hard to catch up with...

Monday through Thursday was filled with lessons, lessons and oh! suprise, more lessons... By Thursday all of us were practically drained of our energy, since we had 2 periods of Add MAths which felt like 20 periods... School today was a complete waste of time for 5 Science 1, since we only had 1 period of class out of 7 today since Pn Lee's not coming back till next Monday, Pn Geetha went to Muar for hockey or something, En. Lim was absent (thank God) and no teachers took over... English was the only lesson we had, but only copied 6 questions into Grammar then proceeded to listen to teacher talking about how she got her driving license and listening to Hema and Cha Lin adding B to everyone's name... My name became Xinyu-binyu all of a sudden, and everyone in class got one like that... Funniest part of it was when Mrs Koo went out then everyone, following Hema's lead went "thank you Pn Koo Pn Boo"... Laughed so much i started tearing and my back relly hurt after that.. Then had to move to 4 Science 1 so they can arrange tables for exam in our classroom... Went over to 3A to see the girls practising for Scrabble tomorrow and gave them some advice since tomorrow will be the first time we under-18 won't be chaperoning... Most of the advice went like "Don't embarass yourseves there; if you do, don't say you know me"... brother's going too, but not worried bout him, i know he can do it one... already cleared place for his trophy tomorrow.

Went home to bathe then went for BM and Chem tuition... Today was first day seeing Andrew copying Bm notes instead of making noise and irritating us... actually he still was, but at least he would shut up once in a while to copy the notes, so not bad already... Fangi as usual put on her black lipstick, causing Adrian to keep turning back... Chem was funny also, even though teacher started new topic although not coming out in exams... Then went home and had dinner while watching show, then startd doing me work, now taking break to blog just in case i forget to do so tomorrow...

That's it for today and possibly for the whole of May... Will blog after exams, if not dead by then... Wish me luck...

Didn't get to post anything for 2 weeks, so this might be a little long... stop while you can, this might not be funny, interesting or whatever you were expecting...

Had to attend Scrabble competition today at Tasek Utara 2, so missed concert in school which was very very successful according to reliable sources, then had to rush to tuition without even having anything for lunch, which is why was not paying any attention whatsoever to what teacher was explaining... was entertained, however by antics of Yao Fang who was appalled to find that she had taken a picture with classmate Nicholas in kindergaten 10 years ago and didn't even realise he was in her class until 2 weeks ago...

Went home in time to nurse growling stomach before collapsed on floor in manner of pitiful disease stricken girl in movies, except not as graceful and have noone to catch me, so possibility of ending up with love of life is NIL while possibility of having concussion is very likely...

spent afternoon completing homework, but failed to do so as TV was a big distraction since noone was around to remind me of my addiction to it and how i'm not supposed to be succumbing to it... Parents were not around to nag as had gone to attend the prestigious prize-giving ceremony of youngest brother who came home with 5 prizes, 5 certificates, 2 Dominoes pizza vouchers and a gloomy face... Don't ask why, I didn't bother trying to find out

Went out to dinner then went home and watched "Lemony Snicket's A series of Unfortunate Events", otherwise known as the movie with the @#%#!%#^ long title... Found movie very interesting and funny, especially Jim Carrey although he's supposed to be the bad guy... the girl as Violet was pretty good too, and the one as Klaus even though he's a bit too young for me, only 14 this year...

that's about all that's there to say about what happened today... Prediction for tomorrow: A day of homework, much screaming and oil burning... All in the life of a 15 going on 16 year old teenager...

Warning:
Person blogging is in an emotional mood, so don't expect anything funny which will make you fall off your chair in laughter... Not that anything i wrote has ever caused someone to fall off his/her chair in laughter. Please accept my apologies if this post has made you suicidal/ upset/ think too much that your brain is exploding/ rush to hug your parents, just to receive a earful due to waking them up.

Got awoken this morning by Fangi with very bad news concerning a friend... Immediately got up and rushed around the house getting myself ready to go over but couldn't help stoping for a moment thinking about how fragile life was and how much time i've wasted over stupid things like getting mad at my mom for not letting me go out, at my friends for saying something sensitive and so much more...

Left my friend's house around 1.00 and headed to Plaza Pelangi to grab a bite during tuition... Managed to finish my food and keep it in. had funny feeling, like feeling hungry but not wanting to eat, in other words: Stomach would take in food but mouth won't open... Wasn't feeling very good in tuition, was a bit dizzy, the consructions being carried out at Omega wasn't helping to relieve it either... Felt better in Chemistry, thanks to Fangi's constant sweet supply...

Reached home at 7, then proceeded to have dinner... Mummy was real nice today, letting me have nice cold drink to go with my pasta and letting me watch tv for 2 hours straight even though brother was trying to study, so he had to leave in the end and also letting me come online although I'm to wake up early to go to school tomorrow... FYI, watching television is a very good painkiller, for me at least...

To my friend, I hope you are alright, you will be in my prayers.

"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."

Right, have got approximately an hour to blog, so better make it short...

Firstly, am in school choir musical for Convent 80th Anniversary... am in Sound of Music section, playing the eldest daughter of the Von Trapp family (insert joke about letter-boy)... Yay... so happy that i get to embarass myself in front of a thousand people...

Got back exam results this week, except Chemistry... Results pretty okay, a little low for Biology and Physics, and very low for Add Maths... Gonna have to study really hard for mid-year, if not...

Cut my hair last Sunday, and now it looks like Lynette's hair, so even more people are gonna mix us up... Sigh...

Mummy went on shopping spree last week and bought me a pair of sports shoes, two crystal bracelets and a pair of earrings... Very happy, since seldom get so many things in one day, other than birthday, that is... :P Hope will have more of these days...

Nothing much to say, pretty uneventful week...

A Very Long List (maybe not)

Going to make this short and sweet (maybe not) since i'm going to have to sleep soon if i do not wish to fall asleep in tuition tomorrow...

List of things which happened:
1. Am seeing the Kenji guy on TV everyday now... he looks cuter and cuter... with a pretty good voice to boot... pitiful how he had to get slapped over a hundred times for the music video... Have officially gotten him... okay, not that official, just that noone among the gang will fight with me for him... A Lot more than i can say for Daniel Radcliff... Anyway, have tried looking for more about him but to no avail...

2. Am currently trying to find to Mandarin songs, both duets... Heard them on TV... really nice and hard to find... or maybe it's me... Very coincidental that both titles are parts of a building, one's 'Wu Ding', the other is 'Chuang Wai', which traslate into Roof and Window...the former is the opening song for a show on Channel U, so i get to hear it at least...

3. It's almost the end of the holidays, and i haven't touched any of my homework... It's not my fault that it's boring, like everything else in school...

4. I am going to tear my hair out

5. Either that or snip it all off

6. You didn't need to know that

7. You think I'm mad

8. I think so too

9. This is getting stupid

10. I'm not going to continue

11. Goodnight

The End of The Exams

Finally, exams are over... Nicely rewarded with a week-long holiday... Have to go back to school though, so not exactly holiday... Still, hope will do well for exams. Thursday seniors all came to claim their results have gave sound advice: "Score all A1s for your first test then u are well on your way", which to us wasn't much of help since we (me at least) knew that that was going to happen as soon as Michael Jackson becomes normal again...

Today had lunch at New Hong Kong with family since Daddy's back... Was appauled that they charged 80 cents per person for a hot towel which noone got to keep... No wonder they're earning money, I would to even if just handing out towels... Had dinner in Eden... buffet dinner, now totally stuffed... Before that went to Plaza Pelangi, then caught performance in front of Red Box... Cute guy singing, no wonder so many people lor...

Changed my template as you can see...no music, so probably ppl won't be so pissed when reading my very very very long posts... Tot it was pretty nice, but still gonna try other skins out and see which one suits me... A bit sick of the Harry Potter one, since there's no Harry Potter in the first place...

Well, that's about it...

Don't know what to write... Ironical since had a pretty eventful week... First, had Sports Day on Thursday... Patricks got 2nd!!! Pretty pleased with the result, although a bit dissapointed didn't get 1st, then let Xaviers win for the 5th year... only 14 marks apart, so close lar... At least marching got 1st this time... then got 2nd for cheering, only 2 marks behind Michaels... Quite happy with that, coz Michael's coordination and steps very nice and cute... Was doing P.A. duty, so was one of the first to know... Went to send message to Wan Hui that they have to perform again, then everyone started crying... Haha, all too happy already...

Only thing was that Mummy didn't allow me to go out with Fangi and the rest to CS after Sports Day... was suppose to go celebrate... She say I go out too often already, even though most of the time was on official Computer Club business... Oh well, at least got to rest properly... Slept for almost 3 hours... Mummy probably guilty don't let me go, so extra nice, let me switch on the air-con the whole day... haha...

Nothing much on Friday... stayed back to type the Maklumat Peribadi Murid... Finally done, after a week of waiting for the computer to be free for use... then went to tuition, with a short stop at Plaza Pelangi for lunch... Noone was paying attention in Bm class.... started with the carpet not taking in Evie's spilt Sarsi... then Lyn wanted to charge her phone at Omega...so funny... then got Chemistry, also the same thing, just that at least 20% went in...

Saturday also had tuition... Teacher conducted last week's experiment again since very few went last week... Colin beacme teacher's assistant... Very funny... Got present from Nick, a pouch, i think, in the shape of a fish... he said to go find a fisherman to hook me... So bad, teasing me to find bf... And also, why he must give me things in the shape of fishes ar? last time gave me necklace with a fish pendant, then now this... Haihz, someone should explain to him that the "yu" in my name doesn't translate to fish in Chinese...

Today, did homework, fully accompanied by the television... then got school again... Haihz, so much not done yet... got 2 essays to finish, one whole chapter of History notes... At least tomorrow get to do 3 experiments for Chemistry... in new Lavender lab...

only up to here, mummy's complaining already... Xinyu over and out

Addicted

Me at Tasha's house now after 2 hours of mahjong... Haha, am becoming mahjpng addict now... Wasn't supposed to come for the gathering, coz Daddy wanted to bring us out for lunch with some friend of his but in the end didn't have it... called Tasha but she already cancelled the gathering, then had to call everyone then... Haihz, troublesome lah... In the end Angel, jayne, Fangi and I went over just to play mahjong...

Had dinner with uncle and family yesterday... supposed to be New Year dinner... Haha... then went back and played mahjong... neighbour came over and asked us to go see fireworks at their house... Taped the whole thing down, so nice lar the fireworks, so romantic... But nobody to enjoy with, sad right? Somemore Valentine's Day is like tomorrow and have to spend it being all sweaty coz got Sukan Tara...

Don't feel like going to school tomorrow... So much homework, but almost done already... Left History, Moral and a bit of Maths... got the main part done, tomorrow not much studying since sure got raptai and everything... Thank goodness...

Gonna stop writing now, want to watch movie already...

Chinese New Year

Am at my aunt's house now in KL, blogging on my uncle's laptop without permission... Was able to hide from everyone until visited Cel's blog and the song started blaring very loudly, so now everyone knows (cept mu uncle, of course)... oh well, he would know when he realizes his laptop's like missing... FYI, I didn't steal it, my cousin's attempting to log into gunbound, but to no avail... has to wait for something something blah blah... You get the idea...

It's the second day of new year already... Collected quite a lot of angpaus, around the same as last years, and the year before, and the year before that... Compiled a list of numbers associated with New Year, so here goes:

1. The amount of dollars i lost at blackjack, to my DAD on first night... Pretty ironical (refer to No. 8) Almost everyone else won, cept two cousins who went home right after losing their capital... Highest win: 23 bucks by 12-year-old cousin (I really suck...)

2. Number of days left till I'm to return to JB... Instead of leaving on Sunday, I'll be leaving Saturday... Sigh... but still able to skip Physics tution, so pretty happy... Going to have lovely dinner on Sunday with whole family, supposedly Valentine's dinner, but my mom doesn't trust the 3 of us to be home without a guardian...

3. Amount of hours till the next round of Blackjack... or mahjong, if possible...

4. Amount of people around my age in this house

5. Amount of cousins here in KL now... 2 more in Melbourne now

6. Amount of scratches I go on my hands and arms due to thumbtack embedded in mattress...Ouch...

7. Amount of money l4-year-old cousin in 10 minutes... 4 blackjacks in 1 go, can u imagine?

8. Amount of blackjacks gotten in 2 hours on first night... and i still lost 1 dollar...sigh... unlucky man

Well, that's about how farI can get... Can't think of any mmore....

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone...

DKDC

What a week I've had... I swear, had the school not been given holidays for Monday and Tuesday, I would have fainted like smack in the middle of assembly...have to replace one day, though... Woohoo! another Let's-pretend-it's-Monday-and-we're-having-fun-studying Saturday...

Week totally sucked... Some bloody planet must have been out of some bloody line... Note to planet: Get aligned with the other planets, or God help me, I will blow you up like thay did the asteroid in Armaggedon or however you spell it...

Monday: Teachers have super heavy bags, thanks to being overly rajin, bring all the books back to mark... Thank God there was no assembly, would have suffocated in blazer. Had to run back and forth between class and computer room to check on afternoon session girls doing colouring for computer club... No classes before recess, thanks to raptai for Sports Day.

Tuesday: more bags, more running

Wednesday: Ahhh, my "favourite day". more running, no raptai so had classes... Skipped BM though, cannot stand Lim lar... droning on and on and on... Was sucking on lollipop in computer room... Got do work, kay? Helped Jayne with pizza money, then counted the orders for Com. Club. then had 9th period, choir practice, followed by Sports practice and tuition at night... didn't get to sleep yet, had to complete add maths and mod maths homework... Slept around midnight

Thursday: More running and studying and lepakking... Then had to deliver pizzas to class... Realized didn't bring money, so no recess till Lyn lent me 3 bucks to buy a slice of pizza... Then stayed back to paint banner, padahal haven't even buy the cloth... Went to photostat computer club thingy, bought a watch (HIGHLIGHT!!)and 8 Days

Friday: Nothing much in school, but had funniest tuition ever... First was BM, where Andrew-I-don't-need-to-copy-notes Yan started whstling, stomping his feet, calling out "SAKAI" with evry sentence teacher said (not saying teacher crazy, it's just from the PGT, he found the word very amusing), and basically irritating us... Then at chemistry, was talking to Evie then Fangi, who wanted to get my attention just went like "CHENG YUAN XIANG" in front of the class, not knowing he was right behind me... If you dn't get it, you don't need to... Anyway, the guy got girlfriend already...

Saturday, Sunday: Did nothing much... Saturday Physics was quiet without Tasha, who supposedly went cheering, but actually go lepak with cousins... But still had fun... although i don't think that's the point of tuition... Daddy came back that night, so had great feast for dinner... Then watched bit of National Treasure... Played Scrabble on Sunday to determine how much mney we get for angpau... GOt 150 only... Xinwei got 200, unfair...

Monday: Went to Fangi's place to do dedications (again)... Will scream if see a) color pencils, b) graph pad, and c)Anything to do with Valentine's Day... Had tuition, but nothing went into brain... as usual...

Leaving for KL tomorrow for CNY, can play mahjong and blackjack all week long... Come back only on Sat/Sun... Get to skip Physics, but have to replace on 24th... So sad, noone gonna accompany me there... Lyn and Tasha say that class like damn serious, no noise one... Cannot tahan ler, how to study like that??? Okay, I'm weird...

BTW, DKDC means Don't Know, Don't Care... Which is the policy i have towards homework, school, and Valentine's Day (yeah, I'm sore bout not having a date for VD)

Why having Long Hair Sucks

Decided to post something since,
(a) Am online now with nothing to do
(b) Cannot do anything now

Am so sleepy but cannot go to sleep because bloody hair won't dry, hence the title... My fault, really... Took my bath too late, now hair will probably need another 30 minutes to dry... Not my fault since all the good shows were like back to back and the advertisments, however irritatingly long, is not enough time for me to bathe, so it was either bathe later or miss part of show, then will not understand anything going on... Should have chose the latter, come to think of it...

Woke up very early today, around 9.30... God knows why... brothers had chess open today at Xtra, so had lunch there... Xin Wei lost to Goh, unbelievable... Poor guy lost the fist 3 rounds, then won the last 3... No prize this time... Xin Kit also didn't win anything... Wasted 12 bucks... haihz

Ish... Why won't hair hurry up and dry?!?!?!?! Can't go to sleep with hair wet, duh... Can't blowdry hair coz hair will become dry, but who the hell cares at this point... Can't find it anywhere... Very irritating...

Anyway... Got to come online all thanks to Computer Club... had to type letter asking for permission to do dedication, then send to Fangi via MSN since my printer ain't got no ink... Hopefully can make loads of money from dedication, then can upgrade computers and have a great end-year party... Thinking too far already... Got no exprience writing formal letter so had to refer to tuition books for "contoh"... Lousy secretary I am... In the end president had to complete the letter... Fangi's the best president... She do A lot more work then me... CAlled me like 10 times today and a lot od messages coz she was worried bout the dedications... Mom got pretty irritated phone kept ringing, but at least not guy calling, right?

hair more or less dry, can finally go to sleep...Yawn...

Two Months and Counting...

January's almost over... 1 day and 1 hour, to be precise... Which means I've already survived around 17 actual days of school...Wow, suprising...It's been 2 months since I first started blogging, if u're wondering about what my tile means... I can count, i know it's only been a month since school started...

February... Hmmm, let's see, what's there to look forward to?? Chinese New Year, for one. It's the only occasion where you are given money in nice red packets to lose while playing mahjong or blackjack... Ahhh, how lovely... Going to be in Kl for almost a week, maybe from Monday to Sunday morning... Will not stop gambling other than to eat, sleep, and get more money to spend... And also to "enquire about college' from cousin who's leaving for Perthsoon for university... Get to skip Add Maths and Physics (I hope...), no BM or Cehmistry (double yay!) and no Accounts for 3 weeks... YAY!!!!

What other things to look forward to... Not valentine's Day, obviously, since there's noone to spend it with and it's not like there's time for me to spend celebrating it... Got tuition on that day, "lucky" Mr. Chua got 15 girls to spend Valentine's DAy with...

Oooohhhh.... Got Sport's Day!!! Not like I'll be doing anything fun, though... Only prefect duty, maybe sambutan where i get to jab the VIP in the chest while trying to in on that flower thingy (vocabulary not working today)... I wonder if anyone won a lawsuit about that... Don't want to be fined or anything, ain't got no money on me now, end of month mah...

Well, that's the highlights of February, I think... Boring, right???

P.S. Blog had some problem the whole of last week, coz i couldn't come online to correct it... Sorry!!! to any inconvenience caused... not that many people check my blog....
