all i want for christmas is you - olivia olson

I don't want a lot for Christmas
there is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
underneath the Christmas tree

I just want you for my own
more than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
all I want for Christmas is you

I don't want a lot for Christmas
there is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
underneath the Christmas tree

I don't need to hang my stocking
there upon the fireplace
Santa Claus wont make me happy
with a toy on Christmas day

I just want you for my own
more than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
all I want for Christmas is you

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I wont even wish for snow
I'mjust gonna keep on waiting
underneath the mistletoe

I wont make a list and send it
to the North Pole for Saint Nick
I wont even stay awake
to hear those magic reindeer click

I just want you for my own
more than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
all I want for Christmas is you
You, baby

Oh, all the lights are shining
so brightly everywhere
And the sound of childrens'
laughter fills the air

Everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa wont you bring me
the one I really need
wont you please bring my baby to me

I don't want a lot for Christmas
this is all I'm asking for
I just wanna see my baby
standing right outside my door

Cause I just want you for my own
more than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
all I want for Christmas is you
and you and you and you and you

All I want for Christmas

You're 20 minutes away......and still I can't see you. This Christmas sucks.

check yes juliet - we the kings

Check yes Juliet
Are you with me?
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside.

Check yes Juliet
Kill the limbo
I'll keep tossing rocks at your window
There's no turning back for us tonight.

Lace up your shoes
Eh Oh Eh Ohhh
Here's how we do:

Run, baby, run
Don't ever look back.
They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance.
Don't sell your heart.
Don't say we are not meant to be.
Run, baby, run.
Forever we'll be
You and me.

Check yes Juliet
I'll be waiting
Wishing, wanting
Yours for the taking.
Just sneak out
And don't tell a soul goodbye.
Check yes Juliet
Here's the countdown
3... 2... 1... now fall in my arms now
They can change the locks
Don't let them change your mind

Lace up your shoes
Eh Oh Eh Ohhh
Here's how we do

Run, baby, run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don't sell your heart
Don't say we are not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever we'll be
You and me

We're flying through the night
We're flying through the night
Way up high,
The view from here is getting better with
You by my side

Run baby run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don't sell your heart
Don't say we are not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever we'll be...

Run baby run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don't sell your heart
Don't say we are not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever we'll be
You and me
You and me
You and me

baaaaccckkkkk!!

That was the exact message I sent 4 people last night the minute we got back on the bus after going through CIQ, the new Malaysian customs at the Causeway. Finally I can walk around without having 4 layers on *big grin*

pictures will be up soon, as soon as I get them uploaded from my camera and edit them in Picasa. Seeing as I took 638 pictures, it should be a while. Like a month. Was pretty trigger-happy, but not many pictures actually have my family in them seeing as they're all camera-shy or reckon themselves too old to pose in front of a camera anymore. Well, except for my mum posing in front of the coffee shop featured in Coffee Prince.

Missed me anyone?

Nice to see I still only have 2 followers, one of whom is myself. LOL! I love you Sarah Jane.

awesome video!

chuck.bass.

i want to watch today's gossip girl episode. all about chuck bass.

where supposedly ed westwick delivers a performance which will make me bawl like a baby.

where supposedly blair might say the three words everyone has been waiting to hear.

where chuck looks like edward, which makes him all the more perfect.

still awake now at 2.47 am deciding whether i should stream the episode now and watch it. which would mean me sleeping at 5 or 6 am.

i NEED to watch it.

chuck bass is my kind of drug.

thigns to do

suggestions anyone? am so bored for the holidays that i'm coming up with a list of hobbies/ things to try out these holidays in case i can't get the job i want (pharmacy job). so far on my list:
a. finish cross-stitching xinwei's replacement pillowcase since mum finds his old one to be too....well, old.
b. finish watching FULL HOUSE, though this has proven to be difficult since the DVD mum bought (original, mind you) only comes with chinese subtitles. i read them so slowly i have to pause at each frame so i understand what is going on when they're arguing. only up to episode 2 and a half.
c. complete christmas shopping. so far i have gotten presents for noone. this has to be done before i leave for korea, since i would only have 3 days after coming back. not to mention i have to hand cel her present before i leave since i won't be seeing her till after christmas.

I Think I - Byul

I Think I (English Version) from http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/b/byul/i_think_i_english_version.html

I refused to believe that it could be so,
There's no way that I'm in love with you,
I lied to myself that it's just a petty jealousy,
That I must be feeling lonely, but I cannot hide it anymore.

I think I love you
But it must be so, cause I miss you
Without you,
I cannot do anything,
And you are always on my mind,
So seeing this, it must be,
I was unaware,
But now I can see that
Your presence have delved deeply into my heart.

We are not meant for each other, and being friends is the best thing for us,
There isn't a single thing we have in common,
So I claimed there's no way we can be lovers,
But I don't want to make excuses anymore.

I think I love you
But it must be so, cause I miss you
Without you,
I cannot do anything,
And you are always on my mind,
So seeing this, it must be,
I was unaware,
But now I can see that
Your presence have delved deeply into my heart.

Why didn't I know that it was you,
Why couldn't I see it when it was right in front of me,
It was beside me all along,
But only now can I see love.

I think I love you
But it must be so, cause I miss you
Without you,
I cannot do anything,
And you are always on my mind,
So seeing this, it must be,
I was unaware,
But now I can see that
Your presence have delved deeply into my heart.

you know...

you know you've been eating too much when your brother who's barely a year younger than you are and 15 cm taller is lighter than you are.

no more late night suppers for yours truly.

feeling of the day

feeling..............self conscious today. stalking people on facebook and blogs isnt generally healthy, especially when you go through photo albums of people you used to know a long long long time ago and find that they've changed so much while you feel like the same girl you were in school.

seeing my old classmates/ schoolmates always makes me go back to how i felt back in school. nerdy. unapproachable. trying too hard to be popular.

ugh.

not to mention while going through their g.l.a.m.o.r.o.u.s. pictures i was doing nerdy things like playing geo challenge and biggest brain thingy on facebook. and youtube-ing videos of armadillo run. while watching star wars with my brother.

oh.my.god.

will i never be cool???!

to combat the emo post / tag

Taken off Sarah Jane's blog since I was blog surfing.

1. Do you have secrets?
Can anyone honestly say they don't have any?!

2. Would you fall in love with a boy/girl younger than you?
I don't think we get to decide who we fall in love with. Having a brother a year younger tends to kill all possibility since even meeting a person younger than I am reminds me of my brother. Hmmm.

3. What would you do with a billion dollar?
Give half to my mother for safekeeping, donate some to charity, give my brothers a big allowance and buy lots of stuff for myself of course :)

4. Do you enjoy going to college?
Most of the time, except when it's a 8.30 class.

5. Will you fall in love with your best friend?
I don't get to decide that now do I? I don't mind though. (watch out cel and fang!)

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Definitely the latter.

7. List 5 favourite movies...
♥ 10 things i hate about you
♥ bridget jones's diary
♥ cruel intentions
♥ casino royale (one of the few daniel craig fans i am!)
♥ serendipity

8. If the person you secretly like is attached, what would you do?
Cry. Emo. Cry. Pray he gets unattached. Cry. Bitch about his gf to my friends. Cry.

9. List 5 favourite TV shows...
♥ gossip girl
♥ house
♥ CSI
♥ the tudors
mythbusters

10. Do you have any regrets?
Some. A good amount for my age I think.

11. How would you see yourself in 10 years time?
Married with 2 kids who aren't annoying and a husband I am still in love with, yet remaining independent.

12. Who is the most important person to you?
My mother. Hands down.

13. What kind of person do you think the person that tagged you is?
An awesome person who is always cheerful and makes the best birthday cards ever!

14. Would you rather be single but rich or married but poor?
Married but poor. Provided the guy I'm married to is someone I love and isn't a loser and we're not THAT poor.

15. What is your favourite color?
Currently I would say red.

16. Would you give all in a relationship?
I think so.

17. If you fall in love with 2 persons simultaneously, who would you choose?
The one my mother and friends like more.

18. What are top 5 on your "to-go" list?
Italy
♥ Paris
♥ London Olympics
♥ Spain
♥ Hawaii

19. Name 3 things you would like to do but would not be able to do...
win an olympics medal. in anything. except bodybuilding.
♥ become a best selling author
♥ cure cancer.

20. People I wanna tag...
anyone who's reading ;)

the switch

I've been back in JB for a happy 5 days now, and i'm pleased to announce I have not gotten annoyed at my mum yet. YAY!! Would love to include Kit on the list but he got on my nerves about 12 hours into me coming home. As usual.

The title refers to my feelings about being home... Seems like once the plane reached Singaporean soil this switch in my mind and heart just went off, turning off all my feelings for my home and life in Melbourne, immediately switching me back to the small-town girl I am whenever I'm surrounded by family. I always anticipate being home in JB, hoping to dazzle my family with my extremely interesting life in Melbourne, especially my two brothers, who have yet to travel overseas for their studies. Yet, upon reaching home and seeing my family for the first time in 10 months, I revert to the girl I was 3 years ago, as if I've never left... I assimilate back just like I've never been away, as if all this while my life consisted of me sleeping in, enjoying lunch with my mum and joking away with her, then heading out with Fangi and Celine to do aimless shopping in PP or CS. Things feel different...and yet the same. Does this happen to everyone I wonder...

Xinwei, my genius of a brother, has been offered 2 interviews for his application for medicine in UK, by UCL and King's, so this is the 2nd time that I won't be spending CNY in KL out of 19 years. Of course, I'm immensely proud of my brother, but it does leave me slightly sad and melancholic thinking about how I probably won't be seeing him for the next 4 years, with me only returning at the end of the year for summer and him being home in the middle of the year... Which is why I'm determined to make the most of my summer this year with my family and enjoy our family trip, since it might be the last for a while. 1.5 million to study medicine in UK after all!

This trip back has certainly left me thinking and wondering about a lot of things. Seeing my mum after 10 months, it shocked me how much she's aged, which left me really sad thinking about how I used to argue with her and make her worry about me, and even now in Melbourne how I sometimes become all monotonous answering her questions when she calls me up to talk to me just because I feel like she's calling at the wrong time and disturbing me, in a sense. Seeing my brothers all grown up... I can't believe how much has changed in such a short period of time! Wei is still having the same group of friends, but he is so much more sociable now, and much more generous with his words, making jokes and being all witty and sarcastic, and making me laugh till I cried impersonating Russell Peters!! Kit's different too, not just with him hitting puberty and going through all the changes a boy does, but he has friends too, and juniors looking up to him. Have yet to see my dad, chances are I'll have the same sort of epiphany upon seeing him. Thinking about all this now while I'm typing this post makes me want to cry. WOW. Hormone overload.

I'm really going to miss this part of my life, as I know things would definitely be wayy different the next time I come back.

Going to stop now, am getting wayyy too sappy. Hope Dad's too busy preparing to come back to read this. Actually, I hope everyone got too bored and stopped reading. So embarassing.

fouteen? fourteen?

Anyone who has realised that I've been pronouncing 14 as FOU-teen all this time..... I have realised how I came to pronouncing it that way.

My mother.

christmas in summer?

I find it slightly disappointing that I'll never be able to have a wintery christmas. instead, I settle for being home and enjoying Celine's mum's Christmas buffet and waving to friends (ehen COLIN) as they provide us with entertainment in the form of christmas carollers. Which led me to wonder how Christmas would be like if I were to be in Melbourne permanently. Last Saturday was the annual Myer's Christmas Parade, which I couldn't attend seeing as I was in a bus headed for Doncaster. A Christmas Parade in summer. Christmas in summer. How very very odd. Oh well.

The store MYER (Australia's equivalent of Metrojaya?) always comes up with interesting things for Christmas (or near Christmas) eg. Christmas Parade, Christmas-land in the lower-ground floor of their store. Not forgetting their window displays which attract kids and adults alike. Like yours truly, who's already seen it THRICE. I am such a kid. Every year the theme is different, with 6 windows displaying the theme of the year. Not only are the displays animated, but they're lighted up with music playing all night long. Which means if you want to avoid the crowd during the day you can pop over at night after dinner, which is what I did, and take as long as you want admiring the displays. This year's displays are based on a book called "How Santa Really Works" by Alan Snow. I remember coming to Melbourne in 2004 and admiring the displays then, which was The Polar Express. Hmmm can't remember what was last years. Maybe I went back before it started displaying.

Now, for some pictures.

Christmas in Summer 2008 (Melbourne)

The crowd on Sunday waiting to see the window displays. So many kids!!

The book the window displays are based on.

College for the Elves, so cute!! If you can see it, take a look at the subjects on the board.

See something interesting?

Converse shoes! Even elves love them.

Letters in different languages. There was one addressed to "Sing Dan Lao Ren" LOL!

Where the toys are being made.

Love the teddy bear on the top of the title board.

Letters from all over the world.

Toy production.

So many teacups.

Mountains of toys.

Santa and all his letters.

Last window display. Full of random conversations.

Tall blonde = Serena!

Close-up on the last display window.

Random penguin feeding.

Notice the wheel in the background? Penguin labour!!

Random picture of the boy sleeping after reading his comics. LOL.

Huge bear in Melbourne Central! Celine didn't know I was including her in the picture till I showed her.

Starry decorations along Bourke Street.

Decorations in QV between Safeway and Big W.

Sparkly thingy fun!

More sparkly stuff!

From the bottom.

Upside down Christmas tree.

random

watching Heart of Greed 2 aka Moonlight Resonance, a Cantonese drama now... suddenly remembered how I used to go downstairs and find my mum watching Heart of Greed and chatting about the show with her... suddenly felt like watching this with my mum, to have someone to discuss it with, curse the villian in the show, talk about how illogical some scenes are... miss my mum so much all of a sudden, so thanks to my 3 plan i gave my mum a call and ended up talking for 40 minutes, mum found my calling her soooo random, lol!

mmmm miss my mum :(

apartment hunting...not easy

So many things to look out for when searching for an apartment to live in! Location, price, furnishing, date available.... Almost makes me want to stay on in IH, but fees are so expensive >.<''!!

Looking into Franklin Loft --> love the loft concept: lots of space and a staircase!! 2 storey apartment for the price of a normal single-floor one, definitely a big plus!

Moving out with Celine in case you were wondering... who has finished her exams (yay!!) so we'll be inspecting apartments soon. Like Wednesday. Or tomorrow perhaps.

Just got back this afternoon from Doncaster, where I spent the weekend with my aunt and cousins. Spent most of Saturday playing Nintendo DS since the kids had theirs and I borrowed KK's. Muahahaha Mario Party!!

Got to see the newly renovated Westfield shopping mall today, filled with shops with names I cannot pronounce! Seriously, how do you pronounce L'Occitane? Wonder if the people working there actually know how to pronounce it. LOL! I can just imagine some girl going for an interview for a position there and they choose whether to hire her or not just based on her pronounciation of the word. Like how mum used to choose my Chinese tuition teachers by seeing if they can write my name right. Or so I thought at the age of 8. ANYWAYYYYYY.... Anyone interested in going to Doncaster with me to check out the new shopping mall? Oh and Harbourtown down in Docklands too! Not in the same day though, the travelling alone will kill me.

Might be going down to Doncaster again next week, my aunt enticed me with these two magical words: PEKING DUCK. *salivates* ooooohhh yeah!! Haven't had it since......Vic's birthday last year. The last time before that I can't even be bothered to filter through my memories to find, that's how rarely I have it! Supposedly everything in the restaurant is duck. Peking duck, duck noodles, duck puree (??? Ashely told me this so it might not be reliable) except dessert. Hmmm, very interesting.

New love: seaweed. Been going to Laguna every few days to deplete their stocks. Wasabi seaweed is wayyy addictive! Yummmmm...

Hot N Cold - Katy Perry

You change your mind like a girl changes clothes
Yeah you, PMS like a bitch I would know
And you always think, always speak cryptically
I should know that your no good for me

Chorus

Cause' you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight we break up, we kiss we make up
You! you don't really wanna stay no, but you don't really wanna go-oh
Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down

We used to be just like twins, so in sync
The same energy, now a dead battery
Used to laugh, bout' nothing
now you're plain boring
I should know that you're not gonna change

Chorus

Cause' you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight we break up, we kiss we make up
You! you don't really wanna stay no, but you don't really wanna go-oh
Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down
Cause' you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down

Someone call a doctor
Got a case of a love bi-polar
Stuck on a roller-coaster, can't get of this ride
You change your mind, like a girl changes clothes

Chorus

Cause' you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight we breakup we kiss we makeup
You, you don't really wanna stay, no, but you, you really wanna go-oh
Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down

name my kid! or yours! or not.

Nat's been updating pretty often, which means I get to be amused by her for about 4 minutes every other day. Not too shabby.

So comment question: Do you have that one name would you never name your child because of who it makes you think of and why? --- communitychannel

Reminds me of the list Celine, Fangi, Weiyi and I made of names to give/never give our kids when we have them. Wonder where that list is.

Any comments?

For instance, I have gotten this idea where my kids will have double letters in their English names eg Aaron.

No naming kids with names of ex-es, ex-crushes, ex-people who had a crush on me. Or husband's ex-es and so on.

No Yvonnes (sorry Fang) because I just know too many of them.

All these thinking for a child that wouldn't be here till 10 years down the road. LOL.

conversations of the day

Laptops + Internet is the ultimate third party weapon in a relationship, other than your guy getting another girl. or another guy.

Barely talk all day since I'm busy blog hopping on my laptop while he studies or plays WOW. More WOW than study.

6 pm already and we've spoken less than 5 minutes to each other.

Every line I can remember us speaking today:

Me: Good morning! (at 2 pm)
Him: Huh? Morning. (studying. OMG.)

Me: What noodles do you want? (while preparing "lunch")
Him: Err, the cup one.

Him: Hey, watch this! (video where guy sings a song while slides of Maple Story are shown where characters are saying the lyrics. Watch it here.)

Him: How many hours of WOW can I play today? *acts sad and innocent*
Me: Since I'll be away for the weekend (aunt's place) you can only play 2 hours.

Me: Hey, K is dating my friend J! I didn't know that O.o
Him: He dated my friend too! What's with this guy dating so many girls?!!
Me: You're one to talk. You've had 7 ex-girlfriends!!!!!
Him: Heh *acts sheepish*

Yeahh... that's about it.

P.S. First time I'm talking about him in a "more-than-friends" context since thanks to Facebook pictures and my aunt "stalking" me the cat's out of the bag to everyone already. Hm.

i don't understand? part 2

my laptop - CSI Nevada Season 9

World of Warcraft

Two guys. 1 laptop.

Guess who's the one having exams?

Not me.

My exams are over, and I'm learning more than they are. Hm.

Jealous of a computer game?

Noooooooo *while nodding yes*

Seriously, I just DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Love how I knew all the drugs mentioned in the episode of CSI I watched today. Guess I'm testing my knowledge.

Comments on "i don't understand?" by a random reader, tim:

Hahah. I was in absolute stitches, usually wouldn't leave a comment but MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY. Hahah. WoW players are funny, how their world revolves around the game, like their lives have been sucked in by this black hole known as WoW. I lost a few good friends to WoW *sniff*

Blog hopper.

and also;

I wouldn't be surprised when girls start having it as prat as their list of qualities guys should have. "NOT PLAY WOW" : P

I completely agree.

freeeeeeeeee

Pulled an all-nighter for my last paper, and it was definitely worth it :)
Even went out for lunch after the paper, though by then all I could think about was my bed.
Came home and decided to be smart and start transferring the files from James's hard drive to my laptop seeing how it usually takes some time. Ended up in front of the laptop till 6 pm, by which I had been sleepless for 29 hours. Finally went to sleep, and got up at 5.30 am. Which is why I'm here now blogging at 6.10 am with Nutella-covered bread as my breakfast. Yay.
Just need to wait for Celine to be done and we can part-ay!
Blew off my poor friends who were gonna watch a movie to celebrate with me. Sorry JS, Wii and SW! Even made JS change the show to Death Race coz I didnt want to watch Body of Lies.
As a result, also ended up not passing the hard drive to CJ, though I've already transferred what she wants into it. Sigh. A screwed up sleeping time screws up everything.
Now for some CSI!

i don't understand?

Call me anti-social, but unless my exam is on WOW, I have NO interest whatsoever in sitting around listening to guys discuss how awesome some fight or kara or whatever they did on WOW just 15 MINUTES ago. TOGETHER.

Then when the exams come, they exclaim and moan about how they had no time to study.

Call me crazy, but I prefer spending 25 bucks buying something I use to socialise eg. a dress or something to improve my skills eg. a book then paying a suscription for a game where I hang out with my friends online instead of hanging out with them in person.

This brings me back to the first point.

Pay money. Play game online with real-life friends. Meet up with friends to discuss game.

I don't understand?

I think I don't want to understand.

What. The. Eff.

happy birthday daddy!

2nd November is a special day in the family, since it's the B-day of the patriach a.k.a. my daddy dearest. Don't usually blog about him, and when I do I'm usually talking bad about him, heh. So here's a few things to describe my dad:

My dad --> Chow Kok Kwong, 2nd oldest in his family with an older sister and 3 younger siblings. Alumni of Melbourne University where he studied Electrical Engineering. Hometown: Rawang, which is why we go up to KL a few times a year. Should have "GENIUS" stamped on his forehead, as his brain contains way too much information than is humanely possible. Has been working abroad since I was 4, in parts of China, Indonesia and now Taiwan, but calls home everyday to make sure he connects with his family :) Husband to a lovely lady and proud father of 3 smart kids :D

Since he's been working overseas for many years now, we don't usually get to celebrate Dad's birthday... can't remember the last time we did celebrate his birthday for him, so here's a special post dedicated all to my dad.

Thanks Dad, for being such an awesome father who's understanding, funny, tells the best stories and doesn't mind sparing time to sit down and play Monopoly with his kids or watching a movie at home after a great dinner outside :) I love you :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

exam countdown

MySpace Countdowns

so unfair

so many activities are going on now when I'm having my exams! geram. Missed the whole College Day thanks to Pharmaceutics test, didn't even manage to have a go at the jumping castle once! At least the ex-Student club dinner made up for it, with the bangle and awesome earrings I got from the new Secretary Naomi. Hope she doesn't decide to quit, or else Aaron would definitely find some way to make me take over *shivers in fear*

Liwen's birthday celebration today, guy brought us to some random Japanese restaurant along Flinder's Lane for dinner. Shabu-shabu! Didnt have it but had fun cooking the meat for the guys when I was done with my unagi (!!) and had nothing to do... Went bowling after that, but ended up watching while reading Cardiovascular notes coz it was too expensive. Oh, and a short trip to Max Brenner and a fleeting thought of dying my hair red or purple to scare mum when I get home when we were at Safeway.

Came back and scavenged food from a function in IH that ended late, got trays full of snacks to fuel our party just 1 floor up, where we played Pictionary for 2 and a half hours! Girls COMPLETELY owned the first game, reaching the finish point while the guys hadn't even moved! Pretty funny games we had, especially when trying to convey a message to your team, and the interesting ways we came up with to make our team guess. Pictures of the games and the memorable guesses will be up soon once I get the pictures from Krista.

3.05 am and I'm blogging. Oh my. At least all self help is done so no waking up at 7 am for me! Gotta study the whole day tomorrow for my Pharmacology paper on Monday, grrr...

Did I mention the Melbourne Uni students haven't even FINISHED their classes for the semester?

And how we're being overcharged for staying in IH being MONASH students? I'll kill that Will one day I swear.

Halloween party next Friday, by which I would be 3 papers down! Gotten my outfit, so it just remains to see whether I'll dare to wear it. Or if I have the energy to...

edits

Have updated my list of links on the right ---->

Was amazed at just how many ex-classmates of mine have blogs now! When I saw the links I was like "Hey, I know that name, why is it so familiar?" followed by a click, a quick scroll and then "OMG, if this is who I think it is, she's changed sooo much!" then a 5-second pause followed by "Hey, I've changed a lot too!"

Ithink the inner workings of my mind is wayyyy too weird.

Added communitychannel to my favourite links, because I check her youtube page probably once a day to see whether she has any new videos. Just too awesome. Made me comtemplate vlogging, but nahhhh. No videocam, no idea how to edit videos and I hate the sound of my voice. (KK has his ringtone set to a voice clip of me on helium. Meh.)

Has anyone noticed the awesome tag cloud thingy on the right? So cool! Took me a while to set it though.

Still looking for an apartment for next year to stay in, Celine and I decided NOT to go for her cousin's apartment since it was too small for the two of us. :(
Been shopping on IKEA website for the past 2 days and ordered the 2009 catalouge! Truly, Heaven must decorate with IKEA. God bless the founders of IKEA.

Got my sitemeter report today. Have just realised that I can "stalk" the readers of my blog, just as they stalk me! According to the report, most of my readers are from Australia, the next biggest proportion being from New Zealand (19%) and including a few weird ones like 2% from China and 1% from India. Hmmmmm. Plus one visit from Doncaster, which means my aunt has checked my blog! Oh dear.

That's enough randomness for today.

P.S. Watch Gossip Girl ep 7 of Season 2! It's a must-watch!

Adam Talks All About Eve

After spending time with Eve, Adam was walking in the Garden with God. Adam told God how much the woman means to him and how blessed he feels to have her. Adam began to ask questions about her.

Adam: Lord, Eve is beautiful. Why did you make her so beautiful?

God: So you will always want to look at her.

Adam: Lord, her skin is so soft. Why did you make her skin so soft?

God: So you will always want to touch her.

Adam: She always smells so good. Lord, why did you make her smell so good?

God: So you will always want to be near her.

Adam: That's wonderful Lord, and I don't want to seem ungrateful, but why did you make her so stupid?

God: So she would love you.

MoveOn.org video

Go to http://www.mccainfreewhitehouse.org/ and check out this video featuring Penn Badgley and Blake Lively about talking to your parents about the risks of voting for McCain.

I'm not posting this to make people stand on Obama's side or to oppose McCain, I just think this video is interesting, especially how the way they play it out like how parents talk to their kids about drugs. I think. I wouldn't know, seeing as my parents never gave me the "don't do drugs" talk. Or the "birds and the bees" talk. Even the "when you hit puberty, your body changes" talk.

Hm.

If what I've said STILL hasn't gotten you interested, just watch it for the sake of seeing more of "Dan" and "Serena".

For the lazy bums, I'll post the video here. All you have to do is click "PLAY".

And turn the volume up.

Search "MoveOn.org" on youtube.com for more videos. There's one with John Cusack speaking 150 words a second as usual.

more about my brother

A big THANK YOU!!! to all my brother's friends who forced him to go for a haircut, doesn't he look so much better than the other picture?

Now we have to correct his posture and his taste in clothing and he's all set to charm the girls! Takers anyone?

Spent the whole day yesterday bumming around instead of studying, and this morning I conked out after my self help and only woke up past 2, so guilty for not studying...

Watching yet ANOTHER drama now! Basketball drama starring Jerry Yan, Wu Chun and Alan Luo. Show's called Hot Shot - basketball on fire. Though I think the title refers more to the actors in the show... Only 6 episodes up so far, so it shouldnt disrupt my studies much... Been spending the last couple of days discussing dramas with anyone who would listen, eg. CJ in the library, Fangi on MSN and Chia Huan during self help!

Still waiting for James to pass me the Cantonese drama I'm dying to watch.......

Movies To Watch In Summer :)

James Bond: Quantum of Solace
Seeking revenge for the death of his love, secret agent James Bond sets out to stop an environmentalist from taking control of a country's water supply.

Twilight
Bella Swan is a clumsy, kind hearted teenager with a knack for getting into trouble. Edward Cullen is an intelligent, good looking vampire who is trying to hide his secret. Against all odds, the two fall in love but will a pack of blood thirsty trackers, an old pact between a certain pack of werewolves and the disapproval of their family and friends separate them?

The Pursuit of Happyness
A struggling salesman takes custody of his son as he's poised to begin a life-changing professional endeavor.

Donnie Darko (if I have enough courage to watch it, seems pretty dark. Jake Gyllenhall!)
A troubled teenager is plagued by visions of a large bunny rabbit that manipulates him to commit a series of crimes, after narrowly escaping a bizarre accident.

P.S. I Love You
Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny, and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief, but in rediscovering herself.

Untraceable
FBI agent Jennifer Marsh is tasked with hunting down a seemingly untraceable serial killer who posts live videos of his victims on the Internet. As time runs out, the cat and mouse chase becomes more personal.

Watch the trailer!!

Definitely, Maybe (still can't believe Isla Fisher is with Ali G)
On the day she has her first sex ed class, 10-year-old Maya grills her divorcing dad Will Hayes about her conception. That night, he fills her in, changing the names of the women who were in his life then to keep her guessing which is her mom: Emily, his college girlfriend when he came to New York from Wisconsin for Clinton's '92 campaign; April, edgy, a little cynical, who misses her father; and, Summer, a writer attracted to older, established men. In demanding the story, Maya's motivation is clear: to get her dad to fall in love again with her mom. Will this parent trap work? In the telling, might Will discover his true Penelope? Definitely. Maybe.

Atonement
Fledgling writer Briony Tallis, as a 13-year-old, irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister's lover of a crime he did not commit. Based on the British romance novel by Ian McEwan.

August Rush
The story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist and a sheltered young cellist who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger, August uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.

Made of Honour (Patrick Dempsey!!)
Made of Honor revolves around Tom and Hannah, who have been platonic friends for 10 years. He's a serial dater, while she wants marriage but hasn't found Mr. Right. Just as Tom is starting to think that he is relationship material after all, Hannah gets engaged. When she asks Tom to be her "maid" of honor, he reluctantly agrees just so he can attempt to stop the wedding and woo her.

Becoming Jane
The year is 1795 and young Jane Austen is a feisty 20-year-old and emerging writer who already sees a world beyond class and commerce, beyond pride and prejudice, and dreams of doing what was then nearly unthinkable - marrying for love. Naturally, her parents are searching for a wealthy, well-appointed husband to assure their daughter's future social standing. They are eyeing Mr. Wisley, nephew to the very formidable, not to mention very rich, local aristocrat Lady Gresham, as a prospective match. But when Jane meets the roguish and decidedly non-aristocratic Tom Lefroy, sparks soon fly along with the sharp repartee. His intellect and arrogance raise her ire - then knock her head over heels. Now, the couple, whose flirtation flies in the face of the sense and sensibility of the age, is faced with a terrible dilemma. If they attempt to marry, they will risk everything that matters - family, friends and fortune.

Across The Universe
A dock worker Jude travels to America in the 1960s to find his estranged father. There he falls in love with sheltered American teenager Lucy. When her brother Max is drafted to fight in the Vietnam War, they become involved in peace activism. The film title and main characters are named after various songs by The Beatles.

Notes On A Scandal
A veteran high school teacher befriends a younger art teacher, who is having an affair with one of her 15-year-old students. However, her intentions with this new "friend" also go well beyond platonic friendship.

mission of the day...

...to stalk my brothers on Facebook. Wei doesn't have an account, which means I stalk him by looking for pictures of him in albums of his friends which he is most likely to appear in. Which means Yue Jing's Scrabble or JB pictures. Nigel too, though less now that he's in Sunway JB.

Came across this awesome one and the comments are hilarious too! Especially this comment by Nigel:

Nigel: i think xw's eyes will only become big when he playing dota.
(this is probably true as my brother's eyes are closed most of the time. or almost closed)

my wishlist

My wishlist

3 posts to go!

blogging so much thanks to chu jie

Been checking CJ's blog almost daily to see when her 1000th post will turn up (sister's birthday's the special occasion) and hence have been blogging a lot too! 496th post for me so far, wonder what post will make the big 500!

On a completely different note, I always forget to check my eBay bids before they end! Hence I end up with emails notifying me that I have lost my bid by oh, 50 cents. Damn. That's 4 pairs of shoes I've been beated to by half a dollar. Ergh.

That said, did manage to win the auction for a pair of champagne heels. Champagne sounds so awesome as a colour!

Ta-da! To be mine once my PayPal transfers my money over from my bank account and I can send the payment to the owner!

Seller must be aspiring to be Imelda Marcos, so many pairs of shoes for sale!!

Missed one on this pair by... you guessed it!... 50 cents.
