Going to the Movies

One thing I love most about summer are the movies, big blockbusters, Oscar nominations, movies to bring the family to. Hope I won't be too busy to watch all the movies I want!

I am watching this because of...Colin Firth!

I am watching this because...I want to see if she does turn into a swan!

I am watching this because...the novel was by Kazuo Ishiguro

I am watching this because... it's related to pharmacy.

I am watching this because...of Dianna Agron!

I am watching this because...I love Rachel McAdams!

The Fierce Wife

Been watching this show lately. It's advertised as a family drama more than an idol drama, but I find that I'm actually liking this show a lot more than the other dramas I've watch this year. Does this mean my tastes has become more mature? LOL!

The opening and ending songs and sequences are very different as well, it slowly draws you in compared to other dramas that usually have an upbeat song to make you interested right from the start. Plus, the songs are by Freya Lin, whose voice I love!

Couldn't find the closing sequence from the show :(

Am posting this here for the sake of collecting all 12 videos so I can watch it over and over again. You're welcome to watch them too!

If I were to believe in horoscopes, I would admit to being a total Taurean. Stubborn, unwilling to change their routine, always being rational to the point it irritates all others. How very true.

If you observe closely, you'll notice that all the stories are related to each other!

Tiffany Hsu is so pretty!!

James Wen!!

Chris Wu! Love him :) He's the reason why I started watching this series.

Tais-toi: It's a Mystery!

Tais-toi: It's a Mystery!: "There are so many mysteries in life. What happens when we die? Why do diets never work? Why does one woman look smoking hot in a dress, but ..."

Somehow I keep singing this song when I'm in my shower. If my shower head was alive, I'm pretty sure it would bash my head in.

Love this song.

JJ, please come back to Melbourne soon so I can lose my voice screaming at your concert again!

 wooh ~wooh~

Why We Need Korean Guys in Karaoke Sessions

1. They can help us select the Korean songs we want so we don't have to try and match characters on the screen to song titles on our iPod. (I gave up before finding a single song.)

2. Being guys, they will (hopefully) not fight with us for mike-time and leave us enjoying our Korean songs and our random matching of syllables to "sing" the song.

3. They can sing the songs for us while we enjoy dances by Pei Xian and Chu Jie.

4. They can dance for us too! E.g. Sorry sorry

5. They can join us for Korean dinner afterwards, and perhaps provide us with the courage to finally call out "Chogio!" to the waiting staff.

I want to sing this song!

Sang this song at karaoke today. Oddly familiar yet foreign, because I know it as 寂寞光年 which was the theme song for 双子星 (The Ultimatum) which is a Singaporean drama I had to stream on xinmsn because I'm here in Melbourne and it had Tay Ping Hui in it.

At this point, I would strongly recommend you look for the lyrics to this song, as it's quite an interesting concept, but those who care probably already know about it and those who don't care still don't give a damn.

If you wanted to know anyway, it's the girl singing about a pair of shoes she received from her boyfriend before their relationship ended and she points out what an appropriate present it was since there's the superstition about gifting shoes and parting ways. ANYWAY if this doesn't make any sense, just go google it or something. Or skip to the next video.

TAY PING HUI!!!!!!!

Sorry, that was random.

Now I'm homesick.

Last Day Ever.

So it's 2 days past my last day of class ever. Thought it would really have hit me by now but I guess my body's focusing on getting energy back into it.

Hmmmm.

Maybe I'm soulless.

Anyway, gotta wait till it hits me before I can start posting about it.

Meanwhile, stay entertained with what's currently invading my brain. Bohemian Rhapsody is currently playing over and over again in my head. Which is kind of odd, considering I swore off this song after hearing Gary and Liwen attempt it at karaoke oh-so long ago.

So here we go. Bohemian Rhapsody performed by Jonathan Groff in Glee. Am totally in love for Jesse St James, except the part where he smashed an egg on Rachel's head.

Apothecary?

Got to dispose of unwanted medicines today for the Return of Medicines program. The patient was keeping medicines from decades ago, so we got to see how the boxes looked like in the past. Of course I had to take pictures of them!

Glee!

Finished the whole of Season 1 in 2 days while studying for my Drug Development test. The test sucked today, and songs from Glee kept getting stuck in my head e.g. Don't Stop Believing, You Keep Me Hanging On, Total Eclipse of the Heart etc.

Glee! Somebody to love

Pharmacy Ball

Wow, it's been a week since the fun-nest night this year!

These pictures are all on FB, but I'm just selecting a few that I liked. Plus, I'm captioning them so Mum knows who's who in the pictures.

Last week:
Mum: Who's that girl in the navy blue dress?
Me: Huh? Was someone in a navy blue dress? Are you sure it wasn't black?
Mum: Doesn't look black ar.... She's wearing a flower on her hair.
Me: Wearing it how? What colour?
Mum: Aiya, I don't remember la.

So Mum, this is for you!

Note: Some were from the photo albums of others e.g. Lo Yi

Vagabond - Wolfmother

Watched 500 Days of Summer again on Friday. Loved it.

I think I'm more of a Tom than Summer. I wish to feel like Tom and be completely caught up in love, but I'm afraid the practical aspect to me reigns supreme. Not that I agree with how Summer broke his heart.

Oh girl I don't know all the reasons why,
I found the answer lookin' in your eye,
I go out walking all day long,
Take away this lonely man soon he will be gone,

Cause I'll tell you everything about living free,
Yes I can see you girl can you see me,

You don't need to know what I do all day,
It's as much as I know watch it waste away,

Cause I'll tell you everything about living free,
Yes I can see you girl can you see me,

Go and see the sorcerer look into a ball,
You may find the answer written on the wall,

The left one was a dancer can you see the answer, Oh

Put her in a mansion on top of the hill,
Please don't make her do things against her will,
I found something special I don't know why,
Looking into her pretty little eye,

Cause I'll tell you everything about living free

An Ode to Pharmacy

Oh The Things You Can Fill

Dr. Seuss on Pharmacy:

Author unknown

Oh the things you can fill

For the folks who are ill.

With your bright shiny spatula

Oh, what a thrill.

Besmocked and bedecked out

In Pharmacist clothes

Knowing all of the things

That a Pharmacist knows.

You're quick and efficient,

You're sharp and inventive.

It also just happens

You're anal retentive.

You read slips of paper

To get the specifics

From doctors who scribble out

Strange hieroglyphics.

Could it be Celebrex?

Or maybe Celexa

It might be a Z-Pack

Then it might be Zyprexa

And you bill by computer

AWP

Minus 15 percent

Plus a buck twenty-three.

You fill and you bill

And you feel so dejected

'Cause half of your claims

Are being rejected.

So you pick up the phone

While computerized voices

Keep you waiting forever

Explaining the choices.

Press 1 for directions.

Or maybe it's 2.

Push 'pound' for a message

Oh, what should you do.

Then you pour out the pills

On your pill counting tray

And you count, and you count

And you count pills all day.

You count them by fives

To the rhythm and beat

Of the songs that you learned

On Sesame Street

And the customers gripe

And complain while you're fillin'

Could it be the whole world

Is on 'Grouchacillin?'

My pills are too big

And my co-pay's too high!

Take it four times a day?

I cannot comply!

Then you scarf down your

sandwich

In one single bite

Which if done in a restaurant

Would be impolite

But a Doc's on line one

Mrs. Jones on line two

She has 500 pills

Will you cut them in two?

And the drug reps, they tap

On your counter, tap, tap.

To give you their spiel

Plus a load of free crap!

There's pens and there's post-its

There's free stuff galore

But the really cool clock's

For the doc who's next door

Then ol' Mrs. Snifflemore

Gives you that smile

And you know once again

That it's almost worthwhile

So you hang up your smock

And put down your free pen.

Tomorrow you'll do it

All over again.

Oh the things you will fill

For the folks who are ill.

With your bright shiny spatula

Oh, what a thrill!
