Melbourne 2010 so far

In 2 days it would be a month since I have been back in Melbourne.

Slowly getting used to it I guess.

It surprises me how 2009/2010 summer was the shortest holiday I spent home in Malaysia and yet I'm feeling much more homesick than I did the 2 previous summers.

Somehow being home this year was different.

Hmmmm.

Am I really growing up?

It scares me more than it excites me.

Books To Read

Inspired by the List of 1001 Books to Read Before You Die, I've come up with 46 books (and counting) of books I want to try to read within these 2 years. I say 2 years, because a. I probably only read 2 books a month and b. I can't afford to buy so many books in a year and also c. I do want to be reading other books as well. Chick-lit, non classical books.

In case you wanted to know, I've read 12 books out of 1001 so far.

How Romantic!

Mark: I don't think you're an idiot at all. I mean, there are elements of the ridiculous about you. Your mother's pretty interesting. And you really are an appallingly bad public speaker. And, um, you tend to let whatever's in your head come out of your mouth without much consideration of the consequences. I realize that when I met you at the Turkey Curry Buffet that I was unforgiveably rude... and wearing a reindeer jumper... that my mother had given me the day before. But the thing is, um, what I'm trying to say, very inarticulately, is that, um, in fact, perhaps despite appearances, I like you. Very much.
Bridget: [Bitterly] Apart from the smoking and the drinking and the vulgar mother and the verbal diarrhea...
Mark: No, I like you very much. Just as you are.
-from Bridget Jones's Diary (Wikiquote)

Even though he unintentionally insulted her, I still find this very very romantic. Maybe because it's Colin Firth.

My New Favourite Song!

The song's simple but it just resonates with me, because I'm a romantic I guess. So people out there, don't give up on love!
